I like Lou’s honest and persistence lifestyle and philosophy
Would recommend this reading to committed high school and college football coaches, as well as committed sales and people managers.

Dad loved it
My Dad loved it! He doesn't read books often, but zipped through this in 2 days. He said it had a lot of great advice.

Thank you, Lou!
I Love Lou Holtz. His life story is facinating and something to emulate. He truly has had a passion for greatness and he's truly lived a life worth living. I heard him speak a few years back and I'll never forget how funny and entertaining he was. Lou actually did a magic trick at one point. I always admired his humor and wit as a sports caster, but had no idea he had such a storied football coaching career and a robust life. I'm a Lou Holtz fan for life and I've already purchased this book for several family members.

I tried!
Great Book for aspiring coaches as well as those who have chosen this wonderful vacation many years ago. As the years have slipped by, I so often I have asked myself what could I have done better for the young man who played for me. Never A disciplinarian as Coach Lou was probably hindered my development as a high school coach. But if you love this dunes you were coaching you can always say you did your best!

GOOD READ BUT....
WHILE THIS WAS A VERY GOOD READ AND I UNDERSTOOD THAT IT HAD BEEN READ AND USED BEFORE I DIDNT EXPECT TO BE IN QUITE AS POOR A STATE AS IT WAS II CAN UNDERSTAND HIGHLIGHTING CERTAIN PARAGRAPHS BUT IT ALSO HAD BLACK OUTLINING AROUND OTHER AREAS WHICH MADE IT DIFFICULT TO READ AT TIMES.STILL ENJOYED IT THOUGH.

A book that you must not miss
One of the best and motivational books I've read.Seldom do I come across books where every page is interesting and you wish to move to the next page to learn more.I have so many lines, quotes, learnings highlighted from this one book that I could probably compile them into a novelette.Lou is indeed a motivation. How I (or anyone who reads this book) is to be seen. One shortcoming of this book is, this book has plentiful of references to different strategies, positions, referrences to American football (which is obvious since he is book is from a football coach) which I tried not to dwell into. But that didn't make a difference in what the book aims to teach.

Great life lessons for everyone
I bought this book because I am a big fan of both Notre Dame football and Lou Holtz. Holtz truly does have the gift of a teacher. His life lessons apply to everybody--not just athletes. This was an excellent read.

Using your God-given talents to build a successful life.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read. It picks up from when Lou is a young boy and carries on throughout his career what an amazing life thus far .. Anyone reading this book could see parts of themselves in it I’m sure and could improve themselves by reading it this goes without saying.
