I am a retired teacher, and a friend recommended "A Trader's Guide to Financial Astrology" to me as he uses astrology along with other methods to determine his investment choices. Thirty-five years of classroom teaching has left me with a pension, Social Security, and a next egg that must be actively and wisely invested as I realize that my egg's risk of cracking is greater than ever given today's volatile economic conditions.I'm continuously exploring diverse sources of information and methods of investing. The book defines financial astrology, how it has and can significantly assist in analyzing successful market forecasting.After reading the book, I now have a foundational understanding of how astrology can be one more analytical device, a sort of universal ratchet in my investment toolbox that I can add to my financial planning strategies."A Trader's Guide to Financial Astrology" reads like a well designed text book. It's streamlined for learning about astrology and its application to financial planning. The format of the book contains chapters with sections that are organized for optimum comprehension that include: An Introduction; Key Concept Questions; Summary; and Key Concept Review.I can now see how astrology could help define and forecast market movement and outcomes. The book uses objective research, scientific, method, and statistical analysis to support its process. The empirical evidence was impressive. Efficiency testing showed a strong correlation to astrological comparisons and market trends and events that took place between 1895 and 2013. The book emphasized that human behavior is the driving force behind the markets, and that astrology is one method of understanding how outside forces influence human behavior and ultimately market movement.The Appendix sections contain information I can apply immediately to my personal financial investment choices.I have trusted and used Wiley publications throughout my teaching career, and this book lives up to the excellent reputation the company has for its learning materials.R.M. Slightly overpriced. Good basic info on planets & slight correlations to signs & market place but it felt like the book cut off too short. A lot of graphs over the years of market trends but still doesn’t really explain how to go trade for myself. But overall better understanding of financial astrology. Still recommend buying but don’t depend on it to make u money instantly… more self research is needed

I like this style of trading. But I primarily am just interested in it. I dont want to place a trade with it.

Total waste of money! Might as well have been called “Beginner’s Astrology!” Nothing about how to evaluate a particular investment. Pay attention to the connections of Jupiter and Saturn. Saved you the purchase price!

The assertion that this is an overpriced and padded book without justification. and obviously comes with a bias from somebody that has probably downloaded other Gann trading materials and was looking for something that he didn't find. I will tell you what you will find. This is the best introduction to Gann Trading using Astrology that I've read on the market. It starts giving you the basics of astrology which is really necessary since many of the Gann Trading books just start right in and don't explain things from the ground up. The fundamental astrological concepts are indeed 1/2 the book. Chapters 1 through 6. My experience with traders and people just wanting to get into Gann Trading who have a hard time understanding Ganns work. Gann had a long reading list of Astrology books and reading all of those will take you months. This gets right to the point. Basic idea's on the planets, transits and effect on markets. That's how you start! There is an entire chapter dedicate to Moon and Sun aspects. Most people don't realize that just studying the effects of the Moon on the market is so important. Different orbits and movements have effects the market.This book was meant to be an introduction. So if you already have astrological knowledge and know some of the effects of planets on markets. You might want to look for other books. Realize that professional astrological traders and teachers can charge you $1000's of dollars for workshops, books, seminar's etc.... $50 bucks to get all the foundations and examples of how astrology effects the market is a steal.Gann trading is a proecess. Some have spent years honing their skills. You're going to have to spend money on the way as well as watch and read others. This is a GREAT INTRODUCTION at a GREAT PRICE.Some of the master astrological traders have written books that costs $100's of dollars.It is wonderfully written. Concepts explained well! This will keep you busy for awhile until you begin seeking out methods of resolving price with Time. And those topics are in other Larry Pensavito's books.

I don't want to say anything bad about it, I just didn't understand what I was buying. From the title I thought it was about buying and selling stocks as it relates to your Astrological sign. For instance, Leo's do better with Tech stocks, while Aries favors the Financial sector. Uh no.

This is an excellent introduction to financial astrology. It covers all the key astrological concepts relevant to markets clearly and concisely. It goes one step further and begins to statistically correlate specific Sun, Moon and planetary alignments with market turning points. This is a major step forward in attempting to isolate the physical mechanisms linking planetary movement with social mood and markets.

I read this book thinking its primary focus would be on financial astrology, however, 80% of this book is an absolutely poignant introduction into technical analysis; and lets be honest, most financial astrologers are more astrologically inclined, while lacking basic understanding of technical and fundamental parameters in the trading market. The author is very solid in his guidance and advice throughout the text and builds the reader up with a solid foundation of technical analysis before introducing Lunar phenomena into the mix. The astrological contents of this text are around 10 percent of the whole, and the author doesn't elaborate into all the new-age BS such as which signs rule which commodities and industries....which is common in most financial astrology texts, but is of no true value in application. The gem here is that the author tells you how and when to combine Astrological phenomena with Technical Analysis indicators so that you make wiser and more appropriate entries and exits into various trends. This combination of techniques will reduce the common blanketed statements of "buy on new moon" "sell on full" down to "buy only on certain new moons if XYZ occurs in the momentum and volume oscillators." Honestly this is the most mature and professional usage of "Financial Astrology" that I have come across to date. No trans-neptunian planetoids and astrological information overloads; solid technical analysis combined with simple lunar phenomena. My personal take is that the author's strong side was technical analysis, while his lesser informed practice was the astrological component. He's missed a handful of potent astrology related phenomena. But alas I believe this single textbook to be the best introductory text for ASTROLOGERS entering into the stock market and ultimately FINANCIAL ASTROLOGY. As the common astrologer needs to focus more on learning how to read and decipher financial charts and trends, before applying their astrological knowledge to the markets.
