Love this rug! It’s beautiful, it’s much softer than I expected, it’s not stiff and misshaped like many I’ve seen and doesn’t shed. The ONLY thing I am not happy about is the fact the my daughter and I have both stepped on something very sharp which pierced skin. When I dug it out of the rug it was a small piece of rusted metal in the shape of a cross. I’m not sure if they use them to keep some of the weave in place but I had to dig them out because they were sticking up which loosened one of the loops and looks bad.

I'm happy with the rug for the most part. It is pretty soft, as stated. We walk on it in bare feet all the time, as we have it under the kitchen table on hard wood, with a rubber rug pad underneath. The only two things that bother me are, 1. There are strands that pop out here and there, and we have to weave them back in. And 2. Dust and dirt go right through it and collect on the floor underneath. I vacuum it all the time and we don't even wear shoes in the house, so it makes it a little harder to keep the floor clean. But overall, I am happy with it!

I like this rug. It's much softer than I thought it would be. The fringe on the edge is the reason I got it, many jute rugs don't have fringe. I haven't had it long so I can't review it's durability. It did give off a very earthy "jute smell" the first 2 weeks... maybe not for people with sensitive noses. Seems to be very soft and nice on your feet. Not scratchy at all even for kids.

A very thick, coarse mat with a rough weave. Sturdy and well made. The description says 1/2" thick, but the ends are doubled over to bind the weave and that makes them very thick. A trip hazard in fact. This is more like the jute welcome mat at my front door than a rug. It is not comfortable to walk on in bare feet and seems like it will hold a lot of dirt. Though I was expecting something a little thinner, softer and with a more fabric like weave, going back to the description, I should have known what I would receive. This rug will end up on the screened porch, though they don't recommend it for outdoor use.

Package arrived undamaged and on time. The rug looks like what you see on line. It is nice and brings my Florida room together. Unfortunately, it also smells...a lot. I suppose that is normal, being a plant based rug but yuck! In my Florida room, I have left the windows open, had to paint a bit in there, lit a candle and sprayed....it seemed to have worked and the smell was gone. But, just the other day my husband shut those windows and I could still smell the rugs earthy but bad smell...however, it was not as strong. I'm sure the smell a yr from now will be gone. If you can leave the windows open till then, you should be fine. ;)

This rug is nice; I love the looks. It 'pulls' easy so I need to be careful when vacuuming. So other than my dog loving to chew on it, this rug is great for the money.

I’m a self-proclaimed rug junkie. I look and look until I find just the right rug with enough bang my buck. I’ve purchased several jute rugs in the past, mostly from Home Goods, but this one takes the cake! It’s very heavy, as you can see virtually no wrinkles, and I literally just unrolled it for this photo. It will most likely shed, all jute rugs do, but I may suck it up and leave it inside because it’s longer than I expected (originally ordered for outside patio). Will update if anything changes, but so far, love it!

Looked & looked for a jute rug for my living room. Wanted the organic beach feel. I have a small area so the 4x6 size was had to find. I choose the Castillian jute rug & am impressed. Came very promptly, didn't have to strong of a jute smell & was fairly soft to my bare feet than most jute rugs! The only down side is the particle dirt shed, but what is expected from a natural rug. Pretty small amount, I sweep or vacuum once a week.

Love this rug. It is exactly what I wanted. Great colour, texture, and look. Not at all itchy on bare feet. The rug was well wrapped for shipping and arrived quickly to Canada from the U.S. I am extremely happy with this rug.
