Fellowes Powershred 225i 100% Jam Proof 20-Sheet Strip-Cut Shredder (3322001)

Omg! It’s SO nice! And installs easily.

Review after 1 week: This shredder is much nicer than the store brand we had prior. The "blades" are more akin to an industrial type shredder where they are thick metal wheels rather than flimsy thin blades. The shredder is very quiet which is nice as it resides in a shared office area and the old shredder disrupted phone calls, thought process and conversations when running. Having a 16 gallon waste basket, although it is made of cardboard, is very nice aswell. Means less times it has to be cleaned out which equals less mess. The shredder was sold by Amazon and shipped by Amazon. It was packaged very robustly for an almost 80lbs machine. Amazon offered a price that was not matchable by any other vendor. It shipped with a roll of 10? bags which are optional to use. Be sure to remove the shipping bolts before use! We will be using Canola oil on a piece of paper to oil ours per an investigation into the Fellowes brand lubricant's MSDS sheet. I plan on updating this review as the years go on. If no edits are made please alert me!

This is a commercial grade strip shredder, that is built like a tank and cost as much too! But you get what you pay for! After 5 years of daily use, it has yet to jam or malfunction! A quality product well worth the asking price! :)

This shredder work very well and handles the shredding of a small office or company. No real problem encountered. The only feature not desirable is the sensor that indicates the shred box/bags is full. When the shredded items in the box/bag are what the shredder senses as full, the machine stops. You can compress/ push down push the shredded items several times and continue to shred before the bag is actually full. Also the the box used to hold the plastic shred bags is oddly shaped and you have to buy the recommended shred bags or very large garbage bags--which is another expense. Overall, we are satisfied with the purchase.

I bought the shredder sight unseen so I was a little nervous. Turns out it's perfect for my needs. The descriptions were all accurate. It's very quiet, has a wide feed window, can take a good amount of paper at one time, and is very fast. Shredding paper is now my new favorite part of my job. It's very satisfying.

Great shredder

This is a very good shredder, but I wish it were taller. The trash receptical is only 19"x15"x15" and fills up way too quickly. If they would have only made the unit taller, it's trash capacity would have been much better. It also has a very sensitive sensor stopping the shredder from functioning when the bin gets full. It stops shredding and does not push down or compact the contents of the bin as it goes. It will stop - you go into the bin and shove the shredded paper down (compacting it) and then it goes again until the sensor goes off again. This goes on 5 - 6 times before the bind is actually compacted and full. Makes me nuts! Except for this very annoying issue the shredded is working fine and is of good quality.

We decided it was time for our little office to have a shredder. So our office manager bought this one. Overkill & too expensive I thought. I was wrong -- it is great! Will handle about 20 pages at a time, paperclips & staples? -- no problem, CDs?-just stick 'em in the slot, jams? - it will momentarily if you exceed the page limit, but EZ-PZ to break free, a 10 second issue. Is it perfect? Well the only problem we have with it is that it's too much fun to use and I don't get enough turns. So there is that....

Purchased it for my business. Works great. Plows through large amount of sheet without stopping. I purchased the "used" one for a few hundred bucks and the door had an issue with the sensor - it was quickly fixed by adding a little piece of plastic.

works as promised
