HP Deskjet 5440 Photo Printer (C9045A#B1H)

I am very disappointed in this printer for two reasons. 1) After loading the software, I was unable to use Print Artist. It acted like the HP software planted a virus into the Print Artist software and it would get an exception error every time I tried to print. This problem has not been resolved and I am forced to buy new software. 2) They advertise the printer as a "Photo" printer, but fail to inform you that you can either use it as a paper color printer with one ink cartridge, or you can use it as a photo printer with a different cartridge. You can not use the same printer for both photos and for non-photos, without removing a non-reusable $30 ink cartridge and inserting a different $30 non-reusable ink cartridge. This is very disturbing.

I did not realize this printer was completely out of date. After spending hours trying to upgrade its drivers, I gave up and threw it in the trash. Totally unusable.

It was delivered last night safely. The packaging wasn't damaged, nor was the printer. This is the first time I purchased a printer on Amazon, and will do so in the future. I hooked it up, and it works well. Function is excellent, along with the free ink I received, which is perfect. I was surprised that it was delivered before Christmas, because I ordered it during the mad holiday season rush. I was a bit worried about the delivery, but everything is fine. My only regret is not ordering on Amazon years ago. This method saved me lots of grief. Love this printer. Highly recommended!

Bought a gently used HP Deskjet 5440 printer, which I could not install. My IT Consultant found out that the print head was defect. Seller approved full discount.

The printer is great but HP needs to upgrade their software. I don't use windows xp.

I have used this model before. I find them reliable, simple to operate with advanced featuresand reasonably priced. I recommend them.

Price was right and just the right choice

Great printer. It was brand new and I bought it at a used price. I'm so grateful to the sellers. I really lucked out. The printing is going well so far.
