Went to have an oil change, the mechanic told me that he had bad news, my Rack and Pinion needed replaced, Oh no, big $$$$$$$$. Decided to purchase this item. It displayed nothing, zip, no sign of a problem. Took the car for a second opinion was told that there was nothing wrong with my Rack and Pinion, just as this baby told me...................Nothing wrong. Hello, woman alone, a mechanics dream customer, let's soak her with a big bill.....................This is my new best friend. When I suspect a problem, I'll ask JDiag first. I use a Vitesse throttle controller on my 2017 Camaro SS. Vitesse works great, but throws bogus CELs (check engine lights) from time to time. When these happened, I could tell they were bogus because everything worked fine - BUT CELs prevent remote starting!?!? I like/need the remote start in this cold weather. I've reset the Vitesse, and it would take 5+ engine starts to clear the code. Bought this - delivered in 10 hours! - and it reset the light in under a minute, with a couple pushes of the enter button!

I purchased this Code Scanner to allow this to easily distinguish this between this and my work scanner. The JDiag was to remain in the vehicle for whenever needed. My first attempt to connect to the vehicle would identify there was a Code available, but would only read "Sorry, did not find the fault code corresponding to the information", then on a second attempt about 45 day later, the Check Engine Light came on again, I tried again, this time, it connected to the vehicle (verified by reading the VIN on display) but was only to able to tell me that the MIL Light was on but "No Codes Available" and reading "$7E8" Whatever that means. JDiag Cust Service did respond to my emails and was very quick to offer a resolution. However, when it came time to either return, refund or at least replace, all communication stopped. The media could not be loaded. Ok so I am not very knowledgable with vehicles and gadgets for vehicles but this was easy to use and read my vehicle thorough and very explanatory. I love the color and the fact it came in 1 day . It also has step by step instructions that come with it .. I posted a how to do video to show how easy it is use..

I plugged it in and in seconds it gave me the code. My thermostat was staying open.

Tried on two different vehicles. Will show how many codes there are but it will not let us see the codes
