Good for light gaming, but backlighting could be better.
I am a light gamer, mostly used for casual World of Warcraft play. I think this would have been fine for me even when raid healing as I was never much for the extra function and macro keys anyway. It isn't a mechanical keyboard, but feels nice, and is quiet, which is what I prefer. The backlighting is a bit of a disappointment. It looks uneven, and the spacebar doesn't light at all as shown. I returned the first one thinking it was just a random bum unit, but no, the replacement has the same issues. I'm keeping it because it fits my needs and a little backlighting goes a long way if you happen to be using it in the dark, and it is a good value for $30.

not so happy
Death Wings or The sellers claim it is apple compatible (WRONG). the number keys do not function as this is stated as with the lighting I believe I am stuck with blue. The price is high for this thing and I feel I will be throwing this thing out in very near future. It could be worse I could be stuck with pink. looking at the bright side.

(also respectively) Pretty solid board after you can figure that out
For starters, I've had this keyboard for about 6 months now and it has not quit yet. Until recently, I thought that the multi color mode (as in the product description) was just false advertising. About three weeks ago my friend nonchalantly figured it out when he was fooling around with the keys. The way to switch the color is by hitting the Fn key and the 5 key (the one located in the square keypad at the far right of the board) The buttons above and below that 5 key adjust the brightness up and down (respectively) after one hit and then make the color fade on-off OR turn the light off after the second hit. (also respectively) Pretty solid board after you can figure that out. Perhaps another thing worth mentioning is that it comes with six clear replacement keys and a little "key plucker" kind of wrench to change them in/out with. You can use these to replace lost keys (remember what they are) or if you are a gamer, (like myself) then you can use all six to replace wasd and/or the arrow keys. The replacement key system is cool to say the least. If you look at the photo, there is a palm resting piece of textured plastic that clips onto the front of the board. This comes uninstalled and can be added or removed with little effort. A warning- this thing does come with the package covered in a pastiche of chinese characters, but the keyboard has only 3-4 (I can't tell) right below the blue logo on the hand resting thing. The keys do not make a ton of noise unless you bang the spacebar a lot or type really fast. The cord is roughly 5' long so it can reach anywhere you so choose to put it. The name "DEATH WINGS" is a bit strong, but do not let this be a deciding factor. Good for gaming purposes or the occasional hip office worker, I would strongly recommend it.

Bad. Go buy the CM Storm Devastator for vastly more quality and comfort
All it's really good for is typing. The detachable wrist rest doesn't go on tightly and kinda just wiggles around. This is not a defect either, because it slides into place where it should nicely, it just doesn't look or feel good at all. Also, the backlighting on this keyboard is utter s***. Extremely dim and can only be seen if you're in a dark room. I bought this as a backup work keyboard (thank god i went with a better one for gaming) and in my well lit office, you can barely tell there's any backlight on. smooth typing is about the only thing this keyboard has going for it and i WOULD NOT recommend it for gaming. Go get the CM Storm Devastator if you want a quality budget keyboard. It knocks this one out of the park in ALL aspects.

Great and simple
Any keyboard with a numeric pad can be used as a very basic gaming keyboard. People saying this product is trash shouldn't have bought this simple keyboard in the first place. I actually wasn't buying this for my gaming, I bought it for work at my office. I love backlit keyboards but honestly the ones I have at home that I game with are just not appropriate for a professional office so I wanted something more low key. This keyboard is great, I'm not experiencing any issues about the Enter key like some in the reviews. The keys are quiet and have a pleasing tactile response. There is no lame/useless or even questionable data that gets installed with this which is great, just simple plug and type. The red looks kind of orange, the blue is..blue, and the purple isn't that vibrant, but again I wasn't buying this keyboard to be very bright or loud. Overall I'm totally pleased with it. I also love that you can turn off the Windows key response since the base of my pinky finger tends to rest on it so I don't have to worry about randomly activating it with this keyboard.

The younger, the better...
This is a very solid and responsive keyboard, and I like the layout of the keys. 2 small problems: one of the feet that prop it up would not stay extended, so I had to tape it. And the letters on the keys are pretty small; I can barely see the colon, semi colon, etc. This would only be a problem for older users, like me.Even with these 2 little glitches, I'm glad I bought it. It's much easier to type in the dark now.

Awkward, but it works.
Not a big fan of this keyboard. The backlight is okay, but the letters look strange and misshapen in an attempt to look edgy and cool. Plus the enter button is just an oblong mess. If you are used to a regular non-"gaming" keyboard, be ready to make a lot of typos.

Great keyboard for everyday use
Key board works fine. I love the settings, the price is excellent. I can not believe it did not cost over $30 and I have used it daily for a few months now. Main reason I got mine was for the night time when I miss my keystroke when typing or playing games and want to look down very quickly. Now I dont have that problem and it color matches my setup! It even has some kickstand to make the board slant a little higher. There isnt a button I dont use and it has everything any other board would have. I cant recommend it enough, its not exactly a mechanical keybaord but it has really good feedback and you can hear it. Unless your hosuemates can hear a pin drop across the house then dont worry. Its not exactly silent but it does the job.Only gripe would be wishing it had more colors but thats just being wishful and greedy!
