Larger Portable Fingerprint Biometric Gun Pistol Safe Box

The directions that come with the safe are useless. I called the company and was told they would send a video that would clear things up. The video is in direct conflict with the directions that came with the unit but it did not address the problems I called about. Safe will only accept one fingerprint. Nowhere is it clear what type or size of battery should be used in the device. The delete and add fingerprint buttons are not clearly identified in the video or the directions that come with the safe. I called the company a second time, sent two e-mails and never received a return call or e-mail. I will keep the safe but it is sub-standard and their customer service has been dismal at best. The one fingerprint this safe has accepted does work; however, with no back-up fingerprint one has to hope that the only accepted print does not become compromised. If you had to rely upon the key, you would be in trouble as the key must not be on a keychain as the safe opens over the key. The key must be loose and not attached to any item for the cover to open and provide access to the weapon.

I love this safe. It works great! I worked with two types fingerprint scanners that were optical and I hated them with a burning passion. I applaud the designers of this safe for their choice of scanner (I believe it is capacitive) they put in this safe it is much more reliable and energy efficient. I registered my finger print in seconds after installed the batteries. It took me a few tries to get the placement and timing down to get the scanner to let me in, but now I get in with little or no trouble every time.I keep my compact XDm .45 and 3 clips in this safe without any problems. I have to keep it on the floor in the back seat, but that is because I have electric and heated seats not because of the safe.

This is the third Biometric Gun Safe I have purchased. The first was from the same manufacturer as this one. The second was from Stack-On. For my needs, this one (and the first) are hands down the better option. The metal is thinner than the Stack-On, but the biometric lock open in a fraction of the time. As I use this in my nightstand for home defense, opening time is of the utmost importance and this safe passes the test.

Great safe for my firearm. It did however open twice when my 13 year old son tried it and his print was not in memory. After those two errors it never opened for him again. Works at 100% now.

I entered my index fingerprint three different ways (different angles) to ensure it would work in the middle of the night. It didn't. I only get about a 10% success rate. I don't think the technology is far enough along, or it is but maybe too expensive, for a unit of this cost to be efficient enough to work in a critical situation. I am sending it back.

Big enough to hold two pistols. Easy to operate. Quality is miles above the similar unit from Barska an much less expensive.

This worked good the first time I used it now it don't open at all with my finger I wish I could return this
