Solid, Heavy-Duty Outlet by Well-Known, Reputable Manufacturer
Contrary to comments by some earlier reviewers, you do not have to "pigtail" the installation with a single wire to each screw if the outlet isn't at the end of the circuit. Although this outlet only has two screws, each has a clamp that holds two wires. Don't wrap the wires around the screws; instead, keep the stripped ends straight and insert them into the grooves on the back of the and under the clamps, then tighten. This is a solidly made unit by a highly respected manufacturer of home and commercial electrics. I think it's much better and safer than most of the relatively flimsy units that plug into an existing outlet. The absence of a thick bulge coming out from the wall is also a plus, in comparison to a plug-in adapter, if you have furniture close to the wall. The outlet is, as others have noted, much deeper than a standard outlet: 1-1/4 inches, the same as the depth of a dimmer. You will need a fairly deep box, and I found it necessary to carefully press other wires and wire nuts tight against to back wall of the box in order to make the unit fit.If you use the outlet for power bricks, they may partially block the USB ports. I found that it's best to plug in the USB port(s) before plugging in the bricks. As far as I can tell from the time it takes to recharge my Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone, the USB ports provide at least as much charging current as the heavy-duty charger plug that comes with the Galaxy.Overall, this is the outlet to use if you can do the installation or are willing to pay an electrician. I wouldn't be surprised if it were to become the standard household outlet in the near future.

Recommended With Some Usage Notes
Works fine. I have had it installed for about a year now. Installation is no more fiddly than most other outlets. There seems to be a little heat generated by the USB connector when in use, so check how hot the jack gets with your heavier devices. I would avoid placement of this behind curtains or drapes, but that may be an excess of caution. I will add two usage notes for those of you considering this:1. Remember that you will have to buy a new faceplate if you are replacing a conventional outlet which uses a two-hole faceplate. If your decor includes special electrical faceplates, be sure you can obtain the matching replacement when you fit this.2. Consider the plugs you are using on the outlet. I have a couple of items with flat plugs, similar to SlimLine 2241 Flat Plug Extension Cord, 3-Wire, 8-Foot, White . While the flat plugs are convenient in a lot of cases, they will cover up the USB outlets, which defeats the purpose of installing this plug. You may want to get some outlet savers (short cords, like 6-Inch Power Extension Cable, 5-Pack, Outlet Saver, 18 AWG ) to avoid this problem.Otherwise, with I had gotten one earlier!

Requires a deep box for installation
We were unable to use this in one of our locations, because it requires a deep box, which meant that we couldn't open/close the adjacent drawer. That downgrades it for us.We are happy with the other location we installed it. And Leviton makes quality products that are throughout our home.

Goodbuy to your wallwarts!
Very nicely designed. A little large and if you have any small boxes or a lot of wires in the back of a box it may not fit. I do not like the fact that all wiring is on one side of the unit. It's a little odd and can be a bit of a pain to install.I wish there was somewhere to see how much wattage these pull when nothing is plugged in? If the paperwork has the info I did not see it.It's wonderful to ditch the wallwarts and gain useable outlets at the same time. I like them a lot, so far.

Very effective solution for charging electronics
This outlet is very useful and effective. It charges both my 3rd gen iPad and our other electronic devices, (iPhones, GPS, sports watch, battery pack, etc.). I especially appreciate that this does not require a proprietary wall plate, so it matches well with the rest in my kitchen. It also is designed well in that both the USB and conventional outlets can usually be used at the same time with only larger plugs and AC adapters interfering. As others pointed out, it needs a modern standard electrical box. Our home is 80 years old and I had to install a new box to accommodate the receptacle, (a relatively easy job). Overall we are very happy with the product and glad to not have to worry about using adapters anymore!
