Unique jasmine element and unexpectedly smooth
I came across Willem Barentsz Gin at a pop up and was intrigued by the Jasmine botanical element. I usually drink Hendricks but was really impressed by the flavour and finish of Willem Barentsz. It’s unexpectedly smooth and the jasmine adds a unique element which I really liked. I have tried it in cocktails and with a classic G&T and found each one to be delicious so far. Worth a try!

I've had nicer
Not overly impressed with this gin!Nothing special and not worth £35A lot nicer gins out there for less money.Cotswold gin is a bit cheaper and much smoother.Needless to say I will drink it.

My favourote of all Gins
I absolutely love this gin. Very delicious with a very complex light flavour. It is also much better when mixed with a good tonic (more expensive tonic) like fevertree and not the light is diet varieties.

Sweet and floral
The finest gins can be drunk neat. This doesn't fit into that category for me, as undiluted I find the spirit a bit harsh and the jasmine is too concentrated and overpowering. This is definitely a gin for mixing. But having done so with a decent tonic (e.g. Fevertree) it's a drink with a satisfying sweetness (reminds me a little of some childhood sweets I'm trying to call to mind without success) and delicate floral taste from the infusion of jasmine flowers.

Very fine Gin
An experienced gin drinker might well give this 5*, but I am far from that. My wife really enjoyed this with a tonic, and it`s so superior to other gins I have tasted, smoother, and frankly, less unpleasant to drink neat. The bottle oozes quality and there`s definitely a wow factor to the package - a brilliant gift and for an occasional drinker, you may as well have the good stuff :)

An unusual and delicious gin - Jasmine undertones are very pleasant.
I really enjoyed this gin, one I hadn't heard of before, but certainly one I would recommend to fellow gin loving friends! It has quite floral undertones, and the Jasmine really stands out as something that makes this gin unusual. My husband was not quite as taken as I was with this gin, but I really enjoyed it, particularly on its own with tonic, rather than with my usual slice of lime.

Different, a distinctive nose, but just too harsh for me to learn to love.
I may be judging this a bit harshly as I drank it head to head with my two favourite gins (one containing 'the world's finest botanicals' and the other 'the captivating flavours of Africa' and it came third, beating the value gin I used as a reference. On the nose, it's very floral, and neat it's quite harsh, so I didn't risk martinis but just made G&T. It didn't really shine, mostly let down by a harsh aftertaste. I like subtle spirits and this just doesn't do it for me. It may go well in a dirty martini if you're feeling masochistic.

Interesting gin
This gin contains more botanicals than the average, and as a result it does have a floral taste, which whilst not over-powering is farily distinctive. If possible, you may want to try before you buy as you may love it or find it a little too floral for your taste - as this is a fairly pricey gin, best to be sure.Works well in a classic G & T (with Fevertree standard tonic) and drunk simply with ice. Perhaps the flavours are a little too complete to mix into a cocktail, probably not wise to for the cost of a bottle.Nice bottle, that would make a great gift or to sit on your sideboard.
