After only two days of being placed in my back garden and a rain shower, I noticed that the solar panel on one of the units had water damage.I have attached a photo to this reviewReturned via a courier. Not Amazon are claiming it has not been returned. Very frustrated with Amazon.

Bought two of these as a last resort as I had heard differing opinions on whether they worked or not. Installed them at each corner of the garden, turned in to take advantage of the 110 degree detection angle, set the sensitivity to around 3, the frequency to 5 (the lights only flash at a setting higher than position 4, and position 5 sweeps the frequency of the sound) and waited...The next day I popped out to have a look and after discovering fresh poop I was a little disheartened, but slowly over the next month and a half the frequency dropped and my garden has now been poop free for a couple of weeks.With regards to battery life - after an initial full usb charge the solar panels kept the batteries topped up for 6 weeks or so, even with the terrible weather, so I'm quite impressed

After trying various devices to scare cats, I settled on these as they seem the most reliable and efficient. I've had problems with cats using my garden as a toilet which is made even worse when my dogs take an interest in the poop. Presumably the fish flavoured cat food they eat smells just the same when it comes out the other end and it's not something you want your dogs or kids near. I don't bother charging these using the supplied usb cable. It takes too long, so instead I use my Duracell branded AA rechargeable battery charger. Using a mini cross head screw driver you can take the door off the battery compartment and you'll find three AA rechargeable batteries rated at 800mAh. They take two to three hours to fully charge and then the solar panel located on the top of the device will keep the battery topped up through the summer as long as it gets plenty of sunlight. They won't last so long if you keep them in a heavily shaded spot.These really do work and don't so much scare cats away, but disrupts their otherwise tranquil plod through your garden. They also have a good range as detailed in the description. Cats often have a favourite route to take and favourite places to poop. So having short burst of a strobe type light together with audible frequencies (that I can barely hear but cats, foxes and dogs can), seems to do the trick. They tend to alter their route and hopefully, as in my case, the nasty little poop deposits go away.I have two small dogs who jumped a little when they first saw/heard these repellers, but quite quickly learned to ignore them. They don't take much notice so I wouldn't worry if you have dogs.Tips:1) I found number 5 the most effective setting (random noise frequencies).2) These take any AA rechargeable batteries and the solar panel will not recharge them during the darker winter months. Buy some higher rated rechargeable batteries (2400mAh for example). These should last several weeks if not longer in the winter and you can just recharge them when they die. When I'm in the garden for an extended period of time I turn them off to save battery life.

Update: I now have two of these but unfortunately one of my cat's is no longer affected and is currently cleaning herself on the area I intended to keep her away from, she has over half the garden to still play in yet likes the area the sonic box is facing, I can hear it loud and clear as can my partner. I suspect other cat's will be unaffected also but it has near on stopped them fouling in areas that I've protected by at least 95% I'm planning on getting another to sit on my conservatory roof to deter stray cat's from entering the property.Original post:We have two cat's of our own who use the back garden and too many stray and feral cat's in the area that I care to count. Our garden was once a cat toilet, since using thia device the section it is aimed at is now cat poo free.We can hear it if we stand infront of it, it's not a problem as we have it facing areas we don't want the cat's to use. Our cat's have an area they can use but other cat's use it too so I have just purchased another to sit higher up to deter strays from coming over the fence.Birds have nested at the bottom of the garden where the sonic device is pointing and it has had no affect on them :)

So I have given this a few weeks to try before writing up on it. I have one of the few unpaved gardens in the area and cats must see a golden signing pointing to my garden that states litter tray on it..... to top this off, for some reason the spray these furry pests leave in our garden, causes my eyes to initially water and other almost flu like symptoms for a while. These are without the damage they do to the flowers and herbs we have growing in our garden. I was initially sceptical about the products and the likelihood of them working, but am I surprised. We leave them on apart from when we are in the garden obviously. We bought two for our smallish garden and they have been an instant hit. No litter since installation, that nasty spray smell has gone, our herbs are growing back and no cats have been in the garden, they sit on the wall looking in, but seem to dare not come in. I am really pleased with this product. They have lasted through a couple of stormy british summer nights/days so far and have stayed charged. Well worth the cost in my opinion.

Non male questo articolo, tanto è vero che ne ho acquistati due subito dopo. I due nuovi però non sono stati all'altezza del primo: uno l'ho dovuto restituire perché non andava assolutamente; l'altro va ma non in maniera così precisa come il primo. Il dispositivo si è rivelato abbastanza semplice da utilizzare: una manopola per la sensibilità e una con la preselezione di un range di frequenze e/o di un flash luminoso. Ad ogni range corrisponde un tipo di animale o una taglia e l'ultimo programma è un loop di tutti i programmi precedenti x non fare abituare gli animali alla stessa frequenza. Un neo: se l'articolo non viene utilizzato dove batte il sole le batterie si scaricano nel l giro di un paio di settimane..

Lo uso da pochi giorni ma ho notato subito l eccelente lavoro di questo prodotto...nessun gatto nel mio giardino.Ero veramente furioso per le continue visite dei gatti nel mio giardino e i continui "ricordini" che lasciavano.Da quando ho messo il Repellente sono spariti...L ho impostato per emettere ultrasuoni e flash per essere sicuro.Consiglio il prodotto. Ora devo solo testare la durate nel tempo.

Almeno per ora...addio gatti. Anche se impoststa al max. Le batterie una volta caricate durano molto e se posizionato in punto cin molta luce si ricaricano da sole tramite delle piccole celle fotovoltaiche poste sopra.

Da quando l'ho messo nel mio piccolo giardino i gatti hanno smesso di lasciare i loro 'ricordini'.Per il momento funziona anche se con l'arrivo della brutta stagione va caricato con il cavetto usb per permettere allo stesso di effettuare i flash cheabbinato agli ultrasuoni tengono lontani i gatti.Buon rapporto qualita' prezzo, consigliato

Dopo il primo acquistato per prova, adesso sono già al terzo acquisto. Nel mio giardino funzionano egregiamente, anche con temperature bassissime e sotto la pioggia.

Utilizzato per scacciare i gatti che durante la notte salivano sulla mia auto, devo dire che dopo un po hanno perso il vizio.

purtroppo non posso scrivere bene di questo oggetto infatti ho dovuto restituirlo perche , a mio avviso, non funzionava si sentiva il fischio che doveva essere ultrasonico e i gatti ci giocavano

Gli animali sembrano diminuiti e spero che continui a funzionare anche se non sono del tutto spariti, utile anche il flash di luce....non mi sbilancio perché devo lo continuare a testare.

Finalmente sono riuscito ad allontanare un grosso gatto che ogni notte veniva a depositare i suoi effetti nel giardinetto. Ne ho presi due modelli diversi, ma sono identici.

temevo di comprare qualcosa di inutile ed invece...dopo la prima notte in cui hanno provato ad avvicinarsi alla mia auto (con relativa fuga)i gatti sono letteralmente scomprasi!niente più segni di zampette su parabrezza e carrozzeria!

...ma semplicissimo da installare e sopratutto FUNZIONA! Ad oggi i gatti hanno lasciato vivere i miei fiori. Non l'ho ancora mai ricaricato nella rete dopo la prima volta.

Non è servito a niente.....o i gatti che defecano da me sono tutti sordi!?!?!? comunque per quanto mi riguarda sono soldi buttati!!!!

Prodotto pessimo. Anche al minimo fa un rumore fastidioso per l'orecchio umano tanto che sono costretta a spegnerlo quando ci sono i bimbi in giardino. E i gatti continuano a gironzolare indisturbati.

Ne ho acquistati 2 e sono molto soddisfatto, dopo 1 settimana che li uso non si vedono ombre di gatti. Ero quasi disperato non sapevo + cosa fare....una quarantina di randagi con i loro bisogni mi avevano veramente messo in crisi. Ora peró grazie ai dissuasori sono ritornato a vivere in tranquillità.
