I wish I would have tried this pillow first
I bet I've spent over $1,000 in the last two years trying to find a pillow that made my neck better instead of worse. I have a herniated disc in my neck and it has always been the worst when I wake up in the morning. I tried a $200 Tempurpedic, some bean shaped thing from BrookStone, just about every pillow from sealy, serta, the bamboo pillow, the list goes on and on. We literally have a stack of pillows in our basement. I call it the pillow cemetery. The way I look at it is surgery is expensive and I would require a fusion which means I'd be a stiff neck for the rest of my life. I've been able to keep justifying dropping money for this reason. It took me 3 tries to get the water level just right over the course of a couple weeks, but once I did. Oh my! I am a back sleeper and didn't realize how much I tossed and turned until I got this pillow. I wake up lying just as I did when I went to sleep. I don't wake up in pain anymore during the night and my neck feels better in the morning than it has in years. I still have neck problems and my neck still bothers me during the day, so I won't say this pillow has "healed" my neck. What it HAS done is made it so I can sleep and sleeping doesn't make my neck worse, which it used to.In hindsight, the difference between this pillow versus all the others is that you can adjust the support level to your comfort. All the other pillows you get what you get. I also noticed that over time pillows that seemed like they worked for a while would wear down and lose the comfort level they may have had for a month or two. I assume that won't happen with this, but if it does, I can just put more water in it!My gosh, I wish I would have found this pillow $1,000 ago.

Best pillow you will ever buy!
This is the best type of pillow we have ever owned. (My husband and I first bought our pillows 5 years ago from our massage therapist.) I just bought another one recently from Amazon. We both now own two of them and leave the second one at our summer house. I have neck problems and this pillow alleviates my discomfort. Works great for a side sleeper as well as a back sleeper. It has enough soft comfy filling on the side which cushions the head nicely without any rubbery feel to it. Also, it doesn't slosh around at all while in use. Well worth the cost! Be sure to put a protective case on it that can be laundered occasionally to keep it fresh and clean.

Good pillow, but not same as what you could get in a chiropractor’s office.
I thought it would be exactly like the one I purchased at the chiropractor 12 years ago. It had the same picture on the front as my chiropractor’s office. It still a fine pillow, but I think I’ll need to replace this one sooner than my previous water pillow. It is a water pillow, but I should have known that it would not be the same because it was less expensive than the one at my chiropractor’s office.

Hands down best investment I've made for my neck pain & sleeping comfort!!!!!!!!!
Ive spent sooo much money on pillows till I finally found the perfect one! The quality is excellent, my neck hasn't felt better ever! I wrote down the date & amount of water I put in so when its time to empty & refill in 1 year I wont have to go through the original process of finding out how much I needed to get the right comfort! I originally found this at a doctors office double the price, so happy I researched and found it on Amazon! Few things I will say make sure you get all the air out before putting on the lid and put the side where the plug is against the mattress I don't lay on that side. I used bottled water and did not add anything to the water which I think says no need to. The material stuffing inside holds up great doesn't appear to be shifting or show wear, just love it and has made a huge difference in the way my neck feels and I sleep way better through the night even though Im a toss & turner. Im trying to convince my husband to get one every time I see him using the pillow from hell. You never know till you give it a try!

and instructions were well laid out and it took me a few tries until i found amount of water I was comfortable with. I will say
Mixed bag for me here on this pillow. I took a stab at this after reading reviews especially the ones with chronic neck problems and found relief with this. I received pillow timely , and instructions were well laid out and it took me a few tries until i found amount of water I was comfortable with. I will say this... it so far has snot helped at all with the neck pain but damn is this pillow comfortable., once you lay head on it and you are in any kind of sleep mode this will get you there quickly. I kept pillow as I said ,it's very comfortable and i knew going in my neck pain was not going to be miraculously cured ... maybe relieved but that has not happened. Your mileage may vary but either way it is really , really comfortable

I found the pillow on its own to be quite high and would not allow me to comfortably sleep on my back
I was really hopeful for this pillow to help with neck pain. The pillow is made up of a pillow on top and on the bottom side is a pocket to fill water to your level of comfort. Without any water, I found the pillow on its own to be quite high and would not allow me to comfortably sleep on my back. Still, I tried to fill some amount of water to give it a shot. You're given a funnel to fill the pillow, which makes it easier. After filling, you are supposed to try to squeeze out any excess air so that the water doesn't slosh around while you're sleeping on it. I tried and tried to get as much air out as I could but I could always hear the water when I put my head down (maybe some of that is normal?). Also, when I lay down on it, all the water moved out from where my head was and moved up and behind my head so it was pushing up on me. It didn't feel like a good balance for my head and neck, but that might also be because I couldn't get the air out fully. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a way to make this pillow comfortable, nor practical enough to use. I ended up returning it. Lately, I have been sleeping with no pillow, only a rolled up towel under my neck and that has already started helping my neck tremendously. I think I would eventually like to find a good pillow, though, to make it easier to roll on to my side when I want to.

Needed for a pain-in-the-neck
This pillow came highly recommended by another person experiencing similar neck pain (I didn't say "pain-in-the- neck"- that's ME)! I sent back ANOTHER maker's water pillow because it was more stuffing and less water pillow. This one is better at the water pillow capacity, with pillowing that (for now) is still somewhat "fluffy". I'm hopeful it will compress with use. MORE IMPORTANTLY, it's still better NOW than any other pillow I've tried/used.The instructions and quality are highly commendable and effective. They propose various water filling guidelines for the type of effect you need for neck pain/comfort. My only suggestion deals with packaging- it as two layers of poly bagging vs boxing it. HMMM???
