My 7.5 year old has not been listening and following direction well in class recently. I saw this book and decided to give it a try. When it first arrived I was going to return it, as I thought this was intended for much younger kids and it’s not cheap. We ended up reading it anyway, and my son responds so well to it that he read it 3-4 times after we read together. Self help books are tricky as you don’t want the kid to resist the materials. For some reasons, maybe because this one involves a cute dragon and rhythms well, it just resonates with my son. We got one other book in this series and my son loves that as well. Very glad we got this.

Great book. My son started picking up on similarities between himself and the dragon. Now when we work together and he needs to follow directions, he reminds himself to be the good dragon :)

I ordered this especially for a 3rd grade student. He listened to the whole book, but was "too cool" to admit he liked it! I liked the format and the fact that the dragon was the protagonist, instead of the boy.

My 6 yo really enjoyed this and others that I purchased in this series. I was hoping that they would help more with his behavior, but are wonderful books nonetheless. I try to reinforce the lessons taught in the books. I follow up with what did Diggery learn? My favorite is Limit your Dragon's Screen Time and that one did help some.We thoroughly enjoyed the books. The pics are great. I would like to have the entire collection, however the books are a but pricey and there is no way we will get them all before he outgrows them.I think this would be a fantastic addition to any school library or daycare.

Great book to be read with the grandkids upon a visit from Grandma and Grandpa. Children LOVE to be read to at bedtime. This is an excellent opportunity to have a reading time and discuss the messages that are in this book. It's both fun and can provide a memorable time when cuddling and reading to pre-schoolers and those in elementary school.

This book is incredible! I have read so many children’s books that are just ok. But this one is outstanding. I loved the writing, the cadence was lovely. My 4 year old needs some reinforcement when it comes to following instructions so this was a great story for him. He was engaged and the illustrations were wonderful. A great buy! I’m going to order some others from the series!

Nice book. Got the msg across. My kid actually took digory doo's words and used it with the bully at school. I love that the author sends coloring sheets as indicated in the book.

These books are amazing. I have a four year old with ADHD and ODD and try to find ways to engage her in conversations about behavior in a positive way. She asks to read these books every night before bed and they really help open up the conversation about why we follow rules, do the right thing, etc. Only drawback is the price of paper back books— I get them all via kindle because they are much cheaper. Wish there was a bundle that was discounted to buy all of the books, but other than that, they are very well written and great tools for anyone with behaviorally challenging children and all children in general!

this book is fantastic kept my 5 year old's attention and helped him understand a point me have been trying to explain to him for a while cant wait to get more of these books as a homeschool parent I think these will be a great learning tool for all my kids as they grow
