I had many problems playing CDs with previous Wave Music II systems. Has anyone experienced difficulties with the CD mechanism in this unit?

The original changer that came with my systems stopped working within 2 months. It also would not release the 5 cds inside the changer. I returned it to Bose; they retrieved and returned my cds and either 'fixed' the changer, or replaced it with another one. I'm not sure which. This time around the changer lasted all of 2 weeks before I returned it to Bose, again, with my cds stuck inside. Bose once again retrieved and returned my cds and supposedly replaced the changer. Incredibly, this (3rd time around ) changer failed to play within a week, with, once again, my cds stuck inside! I gave up on the Bose corporation's integrity and just used tools to retrieve my cds (and in the process, having to pry...and break the slots through which the cds go), since it was a useless appendage which could not even be discarded because it must be connected to the main body in order for it to play. By the way, the single player at the top of the main body also stopped working a long time ago. Only the AM/FM radio plays on this unit. I have also connected a separate cd player, as well as a cassette deck to it, which is the only reason I haven't yet junked this Bose unit. The sound is very nice. Unfortunately, the quality is not.

does this one have a radio on it

I'm not sure. The wave radio does. That's what I have. I have the smaller one. You should call best buy and ask them. Give them the model number. Bose has customer support too.

Bose's best portable unit

I own numerous Bose products & the Acoustic Wave Music System II does not disappoint. I also purchased all of the accessories as well. I love the battery pack that provides 12 hours of power & the carrying case is awesome. I t has a place for cds, (not in the case), an ipod, the battery pack, an id, the remote & the disc changer. The sound is even better than I expected. Full rich tones, ( bass, midrange, treble). All of which are automatically adjusted by the system itself. I take mine out to my patio when I'm grillin' or just plain chillin'. I highly recommend this to all music lovers. This will accommodate everyone's musical taste & is worth every penney.

I like it a lot

I always wanted one so for my 58th birthday I bought it. I like it a lot....I guess I don't get the wave thing and why I can't adjust the base, etc. it does sound great! I also moved it so that the sound came from the width of the room. Thanks
