Excellent Choice for a MacBook Pro 15"
The Pelican 1095 case is made to fit 15" laptops, such as the MacBook Pro 15 (there are other models available for 13" and 17" laptops). It comes in two configurations: the 1095CC, which has a pre-molded foam interior, and the "standard" 1095, which comes filled with "pick and pluck" foam. I am told that the molded foam interior leaves slightly too large a space for a MacBook Pro 15, so that it rattles around a bit inside the case. I got the pick-and-pluck foam, which is basically a slab of foam precut into half-inch squares; you can then measure how big and what shape a hole you want for your item, and then cut or pull out squares to create exactly the space you need. As it happens, with this foam you can get an almost perfect fit for a MacBook Pro 15. The case is sturdy, has a gasket and closes securely, you could likely throw it into the open ocean for hours without water leaking in and damaging your computer (although this is not a test I am willing to do myself!). This is not a true briefcase though, there is no handle, just a web shoulder strap. Still, the case is sleek and elegant and would not be out of place in a boardroom. The case is by necessity larger than the computer - adds about two inches to each dimension - so it will not be as easy to stow in a knapsack or shoulder bag. But if you absolutely, positively need a 100% jump-in-the-water-proof case, this is the one you want.

Pelican 1095 HardBack
This case is amazing! You will never have to worry about damaging your laptop again. I have a $1200 laptop and was furiously looking for a high quality case that would protect it; this is the one. I have a 15.6 inch (diagonally measured) widescreen laptop (14.88 inches width wise measured) and it fits perfectly. The Pick n' Pluck foam is wonderful. You can shape the foam to the exact dimensions of your laptop, and it will hug your laptop to give it maximum protection. The foam is also extremely easy to cut and form to your laptop. Another thing that is nice about this product, is the padlock slots, which are very functional, because you can buy locks for it and it will in turn act as a safe. This case is the ultimate, ballistic laptop case. If you have an expensive, high-quality laptop, do not look any further, this is the case to get.

Nearly bullet-proof protection for my MacBook Pro
This Pelican laptop case is the most robust effective protection for a 15" laptop (will fit a 13" model also) available, until you get to the $300-ish Halliburton metal cases that are more than twice the bulk and weight of this model. Pro: *waterPROOF. That is, take it in the bathtub, hot tub, or the pool with you. Set it out in the pouring rain overnight. It'll be fine. Triple grommeted, it's rated to immersion at about 6 feet for 60 minutes. I'd believe that. More moisture protection than you'll ever need. *Shockproof (almost): whack the case with a ball-peen hammer? Sure. Why not. You will ding the case, but the lappie will be unaffected, and probably the case will still perform its job. This is a completely rigid case, with very effective foam lining. Bang a wall, a railing, drop a full beer stein on it? Real world events, no worries. Been there and done it. *pressure valve keeps moisture out and stops problems with changing air pressure some hard cases have (pop open or won't open) *pluck-to-fit: my 2011 MBP fits snugly, and so will any 15 or 13 inch laptop, as you choose *TSA often lets it pass through carry-on scanner closed, since it contained ONLY the laptop, and there is no metal in the case (except perhaps the hinge pins). The only case I have ever even SEEN receive this treatment. *I like the look: it looks tough, but not so much like a military transit case as the 1080 model did. Basic black and clean lines. *It slings comfortably. *This case will last as longer as two laptops, on average. Con: *There is a small possibility of the latch inadvertently being flipped open by your belt or another object while running or jumping. I loop a small elastic zip cord through one of the lock-loops (there are two) and that eliminates the remotest chance of that happening. A small travel lock, rubber band, or twist-tie would work also. Remote problem for most users. *This is not so compact as a foam or semi-rigid laptop sleeve. The 1095 will probably not fit inside your carry-on, knapsack, or messenger bag (it does fit in my large TB2 D-Lux) *It is not actually bullet-proof so won't save your life if people shoot real bullets at you (arrows, probably, yes) If you are serious about protecting your prized and valuable laptop from water/liquid, shocks/blows/bangs this case is hard to beat. In its size, it is impossible to beat. There is a reason militaries use Pelican (and quite a few private soldiers for their personal gear). Highly recommended, without reservation.

Not bad. Not as good as the old-style case.
This is the second Pelican case I have bought. The first one I bought for my first laptop, and I really liked that case, and felt that it provided good protection for my laptop. This one I purchased for my new laptop. I like it, but was a bit disappointed with some aspects of it. It is lighter than the older case, which is nice. However, the hinges and the latch on this one appear to be mostly plastic, whereas the hinges and latches on the old one were mostly metal. Also, the hinges on this one are two separate hinges, and protrude a bit from the case, whereas the hinges on the last one ran all the way across the back of the case. With all this considered, I am concerned that the case may not be as capable of protecting my laptop if it is dropped. That may not be true, I don't know. I'm certainly not planning to test that theory! But so far as protecting the laptop from minor bumps, I think this case probably provides very good protection. The foam that is provided in the case allows flexibility to fit the cushioning to whatever one is storing in the case. (The foam is somewhat difficult to cut to size, though.) The latch on this case is a bit difficult to grasp to open the case. And the case itself is slippery and has no indentations in it that might make it easier to grasp. So I do find it somewhat difficult to pick up safely. I ended up attaching the included shoulder strap to it (even though I carry it in a bag, not by the strap). This allows me to pull it out of my bag using the shoulder strap, instead of trying to pull it out of the bag using my hand, which didn't work very well since I couldn't grasp it easily. So overall I liked the old case better, but this one will do the job, I think.

10年以上前のThinkpad-W530(画面寸法15.6in.)

Nice case, but it's very unfortunate that it scratches very easily. The easily scratched exterior is surprising given the scratch resistance of Pelican's larger cases.

A bit big for the 15inch macbook pro and the extra space round the sides means the whole case is a bit big for a day sized rucksack. Nicely made though and the hard waterproof case means a lot less worry when trying to look after your expensive laptop on the move. I should have bought this 1 LCD screen ago. Just wondering if one of the smaller ones would have been better and am going to experiment with removing the foam to see if I can fit a charger.

This case is great! Keep the product designers. Fire the Pelican marketing department! This case is repeatedly marketed as designed for up to 15” laptops. I have a 2019 16” MacBook Pro and it fits with just the perfect amount of room to spare. Had the other case choices on Amazon not been so clunky I would not have taken the time to research dimensions vs this case. However I’m glad I did. This case represents the perfect combination of protection and slimness. There is no excess bulk to this case and as it comes with a nice strap it’s a perfect traveller on its own. You will have to carry your charger & mouse elsewhere though - no big deal. It’s not just for 15” laptops!
