Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019

5 days a week I am immersed in web design, graphic design and video/photography... this is what I do every day, every week week, every...well you get the picture. Why do I love this product so much? It's lightweight, fast, and does exactly what I need most of the time.I am a heavy hitting professional with ALL of Adobe products at my finger tips. I spend a lot of time in Lightroom, and as little time as possible in Photoshop (regular). Elements is great for adding text to pic, resizing, compressing and overall optimization without opening up a BIG cumbersome program like Photoshop.I also suggest to my photography and web students to purchase it as well. I shoot exclusively in raw, so elements will open those files as well. It's just a great lightweight program fro getting the job done. It is very easy on the hardware as well. I good mid grade processor and integrated graphics card is ALL you need.

The seller is great. Please check Adobe community forum for research before you buy. The program is not so much. I've had adobe photo shop before and this one has great potential. But it will not open the photo editor. I ran trouble shooter and went to adobe web site for help. Apparently this is an ongoing problem. Reached out to Adobe and they were no help whatsoever. Adobe trouble shooting is no help. Still does not work.

Have thinking about getting Elements for a couple of years to use for editing photos and scrapbooking. First downloaded the trial version directly from the publisher to see if it would even work on my computer. Almost gave up as it literally took hours to download, but it actually opened up and let me play around with the features, so decided to purchase the disk version from Amazon (disk version doesn't seem to be available directly from Photoshop).The box comes with 2 disks - 1 for Windows and 1 for Mac.The disk loaded easily in less than 40 min. (it suggested that you temporarily disable firewalls & antivirus software to speed up the download. I didn't do this & my computer isn't known for speed). However, there was no screen that asked for a serial number or code to register the software, and when I tried to open it wouldn't advance beyond the home screen. Reinserted the disk and found where to add this info (it wasn't very straightforward).If you go directly to Adobe to register, it won't take your info.Please note that there is NO phone or tech support for this product! There are online forums, discussion groups of users, and an abundance of tutorials (some connected to the product under Help, many from independent sources both free and purchased).I do think I am going to enjoy using this software once I conquer the learning curve! There are soooooo many possibilities - I think the main limiting factor will be imagination! This may not be adequate for a truly professional user, but for scrapbooking and creative projects I think this software will offer more than I will need, at the best price point I could find.This is not a subscription for a limited time, but an actual purchase. It is connected to an Adobe account and their Creative Cloud (yes, you will get notices encouraging you to subscribe to their higher-end products).I will probably give 5 stars to ease of use once I am more familiar with using it - it doesn't seem overly intimidating, but will take some time to learn (the simple to use, quick fix segment is adequate for some things but I plan to dig deeper).One downside to this purchase is you can only download to 2 devices, whereas a download purchase direct from Adobe offered many more downloads (but they still suggest you backup your download).Bottom line - 1) I'm old fashioned and like a physical disk copy, and for some reason (my internet download speed is fine bty) the disk was so much easier to download. 2) I think the software offers a lot for the money (I had tried some of the supposedly comparable free versions, but they were buggy and had a huge learning curve).

After having used the full Photoshop program for years, I have to say I much prefer using Elements. I never really delved too deeply into all of the advanced functions of Photoshop and didn't need all of that. Elements has everything I need in a much easier-to-use format. There's a lot of guided edits that are super easy and fun! But if you want to do a full edit, the most oft-used functions are still available. There's also a nice organizer to keep your photos easily accessed, rated, and filtered. I take all of my photos in RAW format, and the program has no trouble reading those files. I know professionals prefer having the online subscription for Photoshop and Lightroom, but as an amateur, I prefer to buy a standalone product where I don't have to shell out money every month. I love it!

First the good: in the past I've used Elements to design book covers and the old version worked well. Upgraded my os to Windows 10 and the old version didn't work well, so on to the 2019 version of Elements. Amazon shipped it and it arrived safely. I opened the pack and put the non-trial version into my optical reader. Program immediately wanted me to sign up for an Adobe account before I could install the program. What? That didn't sit well with me so I decided to return the product. If you want to go through that kind of rigmarole to install a product then this one's for you.
