This is a perfect book for someone who is learning Persian and wants to advance their knowledge of the language. The definitions are clear and the illustrations are very funny. I definitely recommend this book.

Great way to learn some of the simple Idioms in Persian, very helpful because because the author transliterates all of the words in Persian, so you know exactly how to pronounce the phrases

Funny, funny, funny! I love it!

My wife is Persian and I have been learning Farsi here and there for the last couple of years. This book is exactly what I was looking for... each idiom has- the Farsi spelling of each idiom _including_ the vowel marks, which normally are left out- the transliteration just to double-check your pronunciation- the English explanation of each phrase- a sample usage- and yes, last but not least, the cartoons, which are definitely smile-inducing.It is not a huge book, but I am learning slowly so there is enough material in here to keep me busy for the rest of the year.It will be difficult for a novice to follow this book alone. If you have already taken an introductory course in Farsi, or if you have a significant other/teacher to help you along and explain the conjugations etc, then it is actually a good learning aid, true to its title.Merci Nazanin! Actually I though I am going to receive a book with English synonyms of Farsi idioms. Nope! It just explains what does each synonym mean in English. So it's not good for a Farsi speaking person.
