Excellent free-blowing, dark and warm mouthpiece.
This is another great mouthpiece from Vandoren; they really know how to make top quality and affordable mouthpieces.I've tried many expensive boutique pieces and I have to say that I often find myself coming back to Vandoren. The intonation is spot on, the mouthpieces are exceptionally well made given that they're machined and not hand-faced.This piece is lovely - a dark but centred tone, even across the registers and easy to blow. With it's smaller tip opening I'd say this is a great mouthpiece for a beginner looking to upgrade from a cheaper plastic piece. For the more advanced player, it really offers a lot of potential and I'd say this is a great crossover piece. It can do classical with the right set-up, or Jazz, which is what I'm using it for. It's very reed friendly and paired with a vandoren ligature (I'm using the Optimum), you're good to go. Enjoy!

It’s dark. That’s a good thing
Awesome mouthpiece...I’ve become a big fan of Vandoren mouth pieces and reeds. I’m never disappointed in their products.
