Unbelievably Stunning Dial
I have had my eye on this watch for a very, very long time. Each day returning to the page and still wanting to get it. I finally pulled the trigger on it and purchased this watch because of the amazing reviews online. Mainly, this is the best bang-for-your-buck watch at this price point. A water resistance of 200m, sapphire crystal, in-house Japanese automatic movement, unique indices and hands with a red accented tip on the second's hand, a uni-directional 120-click bezel, and one of the most alluring dials I have ever laid my eyes on. Every single time I wear this watch, I fall in love with it. I never get tired of how it looks and feels on my wrist. This is the heaviest and bulkiest watch I own, but I love that you can actually feel the weight of this watch on your wrist. I have a 36mm Seiko 5 which is as light and thin as a feather. In comparison to that, this has a much sturdier and expensive feel. I do feel that this watch is slightly less accurate than my entry-level Seiko automatic watch. However, I do not regret for a second having bought this watch. Overall, quality and value from an incredibly reknowned and reputable Japanese brand for this price is second to none.

loving this watch so far
Wanted a green diver, but not too bright. This one fit the bill. Was originally looking at the seiko 5, but the lack of sapphire really took me off of it. Smooth movement, looks great, sits well on the wrist, great price. The only minor complaints i have are, screw down crown is a bit difficult to turn and the color could be a bit brighter. It is hard to tell its green in dark rooms. Lume on second hand and pip also adds some value over the seiko 5. Still dont know the difference between the A and B versions after some extensive research. Supposedly the A is for US and Canada, so went with the B since it was significantly cheaper.

Great all around watch.
This is a very solid watch. I've been really happy with it so far. The watch looks great, maybe a bit dressier than some dive watches. The dial is a mesmerizing shade of green/teal. The standard short comings noted of small crown and cheaper bracelet are not an issue for me at all. This watch adds color and variety to a collection, but would also be an excellent all day every day watch.

My Honest Take on the Orient Kamasu.
I just wanted to do a quick review of this watch. I’ve had it for almost two years now, and I’m quite pleased with it. The watch looks great and feels excellent on the wrist. It keeps accurate time, hand-winds, and hacks, which are all fantastic features. However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved - the bracelet and the crown. The crown might be a bit tricky to operate as it is quite small, and the crown guards don’t help much they actually make it harder to grip the crown. The bracelet is fine and comfortable, but it could be better. The hollow end links create a lot of noise, even when you’re just moving your wrist normally. Conclusion: Overall, it’s a fantastic watch if you can overlook some of its minor shortcomings.

Great value
For the value you get out of a sub $200 watch, you really cannot go wrong. Reputable Japanese brand, in-house automatic movement, sapphire crystal, great lume, reasonable dimensions, 200m water resistant with screw down crown and caseback. The only downfall, and it doesn’t even play much of a factor, is the 22mm lug width and the stamped clasp instead of milled. But the pros heavily outweigh the cons. This watch beats every brand in its range. A great watch if you’re starting the journey into automatic watches.

Worth Every Penny, Great Quality just like Seiko
Very well make, feels like a upper end watch and looks so much better than the photos. Looks equal the Ray II with the watch face, but this has a beautiful green face that looks like a high end equaling a couple of my newer Rolex watches so you can believe I know what I'm saying.

This watch is beyond its price point! [UPDATED REVIEW]
So my first impressions of this watch were not the best, and I was not too excited when I got it because fun fact, it was cloudy here in Florida the day I got it and so I was not able to appreciate this beautiful dial on a proper daylight. Next day in the morning I was able to see the real color of this watch and boy, I was impressed. A deep green mate sunburn dial was reflecting against the light. it was one of the most beautiful dials I've seen (Compared to my Dan Henry 1964). And since then I haven't stop staring at this dial every day. Now, being objective the watch is very well executed. Flat Shappire crystal, the bezel action feels great in my opnion because its easy to operate, and the finishing seems ok to me (7.5 out of 10) The only real downside I notice in this watch its the bracelet which is solid for the most part except the endlinks and the claps. Being said this, 22mm bracelet was a pleasent surprise for me on the wrist becuase I never wore 22mm but instead I was used to wear 20mm or 18mm. Instead this bracelet hugs my wrist extremely well and it is very comfortable. And finally I've seen a increasing hype for this watch, and I started to understand why, it really offers more that its price point. SKX replacement? Specs says yes, but only time will tell. UPDATE I was initially excited for this watch, but I could not get over the fact that I bought this watch for looks and specs but I got to realized that that beautiful teal sunburn dial could only be seen on daylight, which means that if you are an indoor person like do doing everyday activities, the watch will look not attractive at all in my humble opinion, in fact it bothered me so much how it looked most of the time that I decided to sold it, just because I know I am not going to enjoy that dial as much as I would like, and to me personally, I like my watches to look good and perform great (which it did) but is just the look of it indoors what bothered me, the dial, bezel and lumed indeces did not look good to me, first of all, indoors, the dial looks more like a very dark army green, not so attractive, (compared to what it would be a mate army green color) and same for the bezel which in normal indoor light would not look so attractive and the same goes for the indeces which are not white color really but instead more green, and so it does not look right on my eyes in combination with that dial. Do not misundertand me, the Orient Kamasu is a great watch for the price, but this color variation did not work for me, and so now I am more excited to try the Mako USA II instead, similar price and a better bracelet.

This dial color is insane!
When I first opened the watch box I thought I was sent the black dial option. Then I put it into the sunlight and could not believe how alive the dial became. I love how incognito the color is, this is my first dive watch and I’m so happy with my decision. If you’re on the fence, I would ask you to consider why. The price, size, quality, and sapphire crystal were my reasons for pulling the trigger.
