A compelling read.
"Never" is the sequel to "Always," but I'll admit I haven't read the first book. That didn't seem to matter, however, as the story reads well as a stand-alone novel. In "Never," we meet Juliet Stowe a woman who has run across the country to attend school in an attempt to escape the painful memories of the boy who broke her heart. She's determined to never fall in love again, but when she runs into her first love, Lucas McNamara she realizes keeping her heart guarded is much harder than she'd hoped. This story isn't like many of the other new adult romance books out there, which are very much erotic romance. This one is truly a straight romance book. The story between Juliet and Lucas is a rollarcoaster of emotions - many ups and downs as they struggle to overcome the many obstacles thrown at them which struggling to keep their emotions in check. There's a number of memorable secondary characters helping with the push and pull between the hero and heroine. If you're in the mood for a romance that pulls at your heart-strings then this is for you.

Intense and All Consuming Romance
Everybody secretly longs for a romance that burns them to the core. In "Never," the stormy romance between Lucas and Juliet reminds us some loves can come close to burning a person to the ground.Watching this romance unfold is tense, steamy, and a little wild. Lucas' feelings uproot his old life, bringing back old family ghosts and attracting major ire from his scheming ex-girlfriend. Juliet gets to re-live what she thought was a lost dream. It's heartwarming to watch her plunge into Lucas' arms after thinking he was lost for so long. The rapid connection between these two separated lovers makes the obstacles between them that much more heartrending to watch. Thankfully, love has a way of overcoming everything, and this book yields a satisfying ending after a bumpy ride.Ellery Rhodes' style is down to earth, sharp, and entertaining. Just icing on the cake for a book I really enjoyed. If you like meaty and highly emotional New Adult romances, then add this to your reading queue!

good story!
Lucas is madly in love and finds everything in his childhood sweetheart. All the while, Juliet is struggling with demons from the past and trying to move forward with Lucas who deals with issues with alcohol. Something big tears them apart at a young age to come back to each other and fighting to be together.

An authentic and absorbing coming-of-age romance!
With its college setting and sexy, over-the-top drama, I found โNeverโ to be a totally absorbing read. The author does a great job of bringing Juliet and Lucas to life by revealing the flaws and insecurities that go hand-in-hand with growing up. I loved how the angsty couple was surrounded by an interesting cast of secondary characters.Overall, this was an authentic, well written coming of age novel โ and a guilty pleasure that I had trouble putting down. Highly recommended!

A great read and I enjoyed reading it. It had you wanting to read on and you don't want to but the book down. It made me want to go on to Always by Ellery Rhodes which enjoyed also.

Boo. Don't waste your time.
This book was the worst I've read in a very long time. And I read 2 to 3 books a week at least. The girl gets pissed over nothing and violently overreacts at everything. Their history is cute but they are not even close to being the love struck 14 year old kids they used to be. I kept wishingt boy would just dump her and move on. There were tons of side stories going on that went nowhere and didn't do anything to further getting us into their supposed love story. I found myself really wishing I had not wasted my time with this one. I was so bored I probably skimmed at least half the book just hoping to find "the good part" that never came.

I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD REGRET Spending$0.99 on the book
Their obstacles were soooo stupid. Got into fights so easily over stupid stuff. Their feelings for each other was questionable. I really couldn't see why they were together. Juliet got on my nerves. Sometimes you would admire her but most of the time she got on my nerves. Lucas also got a bit annoying...in way I'm glad I spendยข0.99 that way I wouldn't have been left wondering if it was a good book. Tough I should've read the reviews...I didn't .got caught up in the ยข0.99 offer. I was desperate for a book... most of the book they spend fighting and there wad about 2 kisses in each book...that's how much they fought. but hey take it chances if u want...

Really god sequel
This book continued seamlessly from the first book. It was heartfelt and emotional and the secrets revealed were so sad. Written with a passion and understanding of the issues raised. Definitely recommend this book but you must read the prequel first

not worth reading
After reading the first book I was so disappointed with the second one. I only finished reading the book as I hate not reading a book until the end also I paid for this book and didn't want to waist it.
