Battlefield 4 - PlayStation 4

The media could not be loaded.  I love the Battlefield series. Nothing else in the multiplayer realm comes close to the rush you get from a good game of, well, Rush, or Conquest, or any of the other game types. The single-player campaign isn't really worth the time you'll spend to beat it, but you do unlock some new guns and dog tags for multiplayer use, so that's some incentive to at least try and complete it. I still prefer Battlefield 3 over this iteration, but for current-gen console owners, Battlefield 4 is still your best bet for a blast of a time. That being said, there are some caveats. Counter-knifing is broken beyond description. My blade was my best weapon in Battlefield 3, far and away. I loved stealing dog tags from unwary foes. Now, you can go to knife an opponent from the back, and suddenly you're getting knifed in return because of a glitch. Guns feel less reliable, vehicles are stronger/man-portable rocket launchers are weaker (hard to tell which it is sometimes, but it's a problem), splash damage has been cut down, once you reach a higher level you can't play on official DICE servers and get forced to play on rented servers where grouchy admins can kick and ban you if you're doing too well against them (yeah, that happens, good times), and the lag. Oh, the lag. Response time is king in online FPS multiplayer, and when I'm pulling the trigger over and over, desperately trying to counter-snipe before that guy perched on the ledge hundreds of meters above me gets a shot off, but the lag means not only do I not get to fire a shot, I get killed by a person that wasn't even looking at me, yeah. Frustration quickly follows. It's especially bad, and suspicious, when fighting admins on their server. I had an admin dead to rights. He was laying prone, camping a corner, and I was already in the knifing animation, flipping him over to get his tags. Suddenly, lag! And then he's ten feet away, shooting me with his Raffica. That was just one of several instances on that server where "miracle lag" saved the admin. It's cheap crap and it needs to stop. I bought this again after not playing for two years, hoping DICE had fixed most of the issues that plagued Battlefield 4 when it first came out. It runs better than it did at launch, but there are still things that need to be fixed, badly. Counter-knifing and Levolution are both worthless, lag and hit detection are problematic (point blank, four shotgun shells, no hit marker or damage on the enemy who spins around and two-shots me with a revolver, lovely), and arbitrarily booting a player from a match is 100% Grade-A bull. I love the Battlefield series. I love figuring out the dope for a headshot with a sniper rifle, none of this 720 no-scope rainbow pinwheel headshot from across the level. I love that I don't have to earn an attack helicopter by getting successive kills. I love when this game works, but when it doesn't, it's a frustrating mess made all the worse for being so, so close to perfect. Maybe with the next Battlefield (Hardline's already lost me, cops and robbers was a game I played when I was in elementary school thanks) will get it right.

Original review preserved below, but now a full year+ after this game was first released, it is finally not infuriatingly annoying to play. Not only that, but the latest map pack (Final Stand) is absolutely awesome. I am a level 130 so I have a lot of time in the game. I suffered through a lot of stupid public beta testing via EA public relations department (aka sales pushing this out before it was done). The big AAA houses all do this and this is why I would STRONGLY encourage people who were waiting it out for whatever reason to NOW buy BF4 at its one-third cost compared to launch pricing. I paid $110 including premium, but honestly the only map packs that are all that interesting are the vanilla ones and this latest pack, Final Stand. But that is just me. I LOVED BC2 but hated BF3, and now that I've ranked up in BF4 on the PS4 I can't even play the PS3 games. This game is actually why I bought a PS4 (I was a level 106 by then) and it was insanely disappointing and aggravating to play a broken game for so damn long.But a huge improvement was that when the PS4 version crashed, it didn't require rebuilding the entire file system with two reset cycles which made me feel sorry for my PS3. On the PS4, when it crashes (and it still does occasionally), it just stops the game and you have to restart it. But that is a lot less common now and BF4 is much more fun to play now. ANNNNND, DICE has announced that they are NOT done with BF4 content. With Final Stand as any guide, they are getting better and better at building huge 64 player maps for the PC/PS4/X1 peeps (my second-favorite of the DLC maps was the one before this last one, Dragon's Teeth.) Final Stand combines huge open areas with massive yet intricate CQ areas, and the snowy locations remind me of some favorite BC2 maps. ;)I actually hope a huge new wave of players and new PS4 owners are discovering BF4 so I have lots of people to play with for a long time. ;)ORIGINAL REVIEW: The game itself would be great if they ever fix it! I had zillions of crashes and freezes on PS3, and when I got the PS4 version, it is COMPLETELY unplayable due to horrible stuttering during gameplay. DO NOT BUY this or any other EA/DICE game until they improve their track record of releasing absolute CRAP and using the public as beta testers. Its been since October and the game is too frustrating to bother with. BFBC2 is a FAR better game overall, and BF3 is way more stable if you like the look of the post-BC2 BF games. BOYCOTT BF5, too unless it is PERFECT on release day!

Ah pesar de que salio ya hace tiempo sigue jugando mucha gente y en verdad que le saca provecho a las graficas de la consola recomendado este titulo.
