I have 5 kids and an ever-changing cast of foster kids. All of them---even the 2nd graders---need a flash drive for school so they can bring their projects/essays/reports home and "get help." I buy flash drives when they're on sale for back-to-school but they're never on sale in October-November-December-January-February-March-April-May when my kids are losing them. After purchasing a hundred (it seemed like 100) flash drives, I decided I needed a way to attach the flashdrive to the backpack of each child. But it had to be attached without being easily unhooked AND the leash had to be long enough to reach the computer when the backpack was tossed on the desk. These lanyards are terrific---they're strong, colorful and long enough to reach the computer. No more lost flash drives, no more late homework! I use them on my own stuff, too. It keeps my flash drive handy when I'm at meetings/conferences. These things are also great for cameras, keys to the offsite-storage or my sister's house. Don't think you need the whole pack of 10? HA! You'll be surprised at how quickly you find ways to use them!

For some odd reason, I found myself with a handful of items I needed lanyards for. I recently purchased a thumb drive with a place for a lanyard but it didn't come with one. I also have a USB speaker I needed one for - as well as a couple of other items. I checked on Amazon and was surprised to see this nice selection of lanyards in both long and short versions for such a good price. The color selection is nice and the spring-lok clips are a nice touch. These are just what I needed. Nice product at a nice price and this company ships fast!

These lanyards are nicely made and lightweight. A VERY good buy for the price. The color selection of the neck straps is good to go with a variety of outfits. Since the black detachable device attachments are interchangeable, you don't have to take them off of the device in order to change the neck strap to a different color. The long strap length is just about right. For a taller person, though, they might be just a bit (perhaps an inch or two) too short but it was just right for me (I'm 5' 3"). The shorter, hand strap lanyards are made from heavier material (more like a heavy shoelace, not the lightweight ribbon of the neck straps) and have a non-removable device attachment. I would have liked at least one of them to have a removable attachment since I often change my camera from a neck strap to a hand strap. But it's not that difficult to change them unless you have arthritis in your hands. All in all, this package is a great buy.

The three smaller lanyards are very good for a camera or something more substantial than a memory stick. However, the small cord that attached to your device was cut on one of my small lanyards. So, I have two out of three small lanyards that are good. The longer lanyards are a joke. The crimping device that is supposed to secure the ribbon is very weak and does not hold the clasp device securely. It took just a gentle tug on one of them to cause the ribbon to release from the crimping device. I would not trust these to secure anything of value. IF the longer lanyards had the same attachment device as the small lanyards, these would be great. I can't recommend these.

So far I have only used one of the longer ones as a lanyard for my various ReSound microphone clips for my hearing aids. Right after I started using it, I got like a strange hives-like effect, swelling around my neck and lower cheek and jaw area, which eventually went away after about 12-24 hours. I know that I have had food/clothing dye allergies/sensitivities resulting in hives in the past, so I tend to avoid the brightly dyed foods, and pre-wash clothing. Evidently I may have had a sensitivity to these? I've not been anxious to try one of the other colors around my neck (the purple one was the one I used first.)...and the easy solution would be to just pile them all in a laundry bag and wash them first and see if that doesn't help. I've also used them to hang my glasses around my neck as the little loop at the end seems to be better at gripping glasses than a lot of the "glasses necklace" commonly available at drug stores. Of course, they can also be used with SOME (not all) models of cellphones, many digital cameras, pagers, assistive signaling devices, timers, much much more! I dinged these down a few stars because of the suspected allergy issue I had with them and because they seem delicate (although the one I've been using this past year has not fallen apart at all.). I wouldn't use them to clip a bowling ball to them, might not support that much weight...

Lightweight and fits well on the neck; made from a thick ribbon type material. Not recommended for heavier items though. Only negative is the loop has a single twist where the ends are connected instead of being flat. This affected what would have been four star rating.

I have a number of USB flash drives. Some get loaned to clients. Lanyards make the devices easier to keep up with, and the great colors just make me feel good. Probably the colors also make it easier for me to spot a USB drive that has slipped off a car seat or fallen to the bottom of my briefcase. The longer lanyards in this set are made of a satin-type material. The shorter lanyards are made of the more traditional woven fabric. I have not used them long enough know whether the satin-type material will hold up well. The price was right. I love the colors. The cleaning cloth is a bonus that I keep in my briefcase for my phone.
