I Spy Spectacular: A Book of Picture Riddles

Love these books!!!

Love all my I Spy books. I am an adult and find the ones for 8 and up challenging enough for adults. This was a good book to add to my fun I Spy collection. It's an older book and some of pictures are dark but if you are in a well lit room it's fine.

Love this series. I have had several for a number of years and pull them out occasionally to test my powers of observation. Have been looking in bookstores several times and they are difficult to find, so ordered all I could find on Amazon. I haven't gotten through a first round of all just yet, but will soon. They do not disappoint. My hope is to turn them over to my great nephews in the hopes that they enjoy them as much as I do. Right now they are a little young for them which will give me a little more time... 😄

My kids loved these books growing up & I realized I didn't have this one in my collection. I spy is also great for adult to exercise their ability to find item & memory practice as well.

The entire series of I SPY books is fantastic. I reared all three of my children on them, raising the level of difficulty for each child as he or she aged by buying the book with the next higher level of difficulty. We all grew so fond of them that even when the kids were in high school we might lie down in bed and go over the hardest ones in the series -- and still be challenged! They are feel-good books, and if you read them with your child there's a sense of fun competition that takes over, and the child feels so thrilled to find an item before the adult does. If I were a new parent, I'd buy the first book now and use it with your baby (even if you feel foolish!) along with the other books new parents should be reading to infants, such as GOODNIGHT, MOON, THE CAT IN THE HAT, THE WILD THINGS and so on. I just gave this book to a five year old whose parents, unfortunately, haven't been reading to him. He loves it, and I hope that it will get them reading more. I SPY can start a new family tradition.

Loads of enjoyment for my grade schooler.

When my kids were younger we (and I include myself here) used to spend hours searching for the hidden objects in the I Spy pictures. Each picture is an enchanting fantasy on its own, even without the hide and seek aspect. My kids loved these books so much that they have kept them into their teens and 20s. I purchased this book as a gift for some friends who have young ones, hoping that they would love the I Spy books as much as my kids did.

A great way to snuggle up with the kids for a rainy afternoon. They love the I Spy books! 3 yr old, 6 yr old, 8 yr old all clamberiing to find the item.

I was looking for an old I spy book that I remember loving. This however, is not that book and I feel many of the pictures are a little odd and possibly even scary for children- the page with clowns is rather freaky in my opinion. But that is just my opinion of course. I however, won’t be encouraging children to look at it.

These are great books ideal for helping children with visual processing difficulties.

Ho preso questo testo convinta sarebbe piaciuto ad un bambino " speciale" che vive in un mondo che talvolta io non riesco a comprendere....il mondo dell'autismo. Ho pensato che la densità di dettagli contenuta nei vari disegni e la minuzia dei particolari lo avrebbero attratto e affascinato....così è stato! é bellissimo vedere un bambino fissarsi su un libro, immergersi tra le sue pagine, inventando giochi e storie sempre nuovi. Questi libri favoriscono il rilassamento e fanno volare la fantasia, aprendo itinerari entusiasmanti. Ricordo di aver conosciuto questi testi anni fa, all'università, grazie all'insegnante di inglese, la quale ci insegnava come poterli applicare alla didattica in classe per accattivare i bambini. Consigliatissimi.
