International Concepts Hutch, Unfinished

The only thing I didn’t like was having to assemble it. A couple screws were missing. It was painted light pink with ornate wood overlays to blend in with a matching French Provincial pink desk.

Will be returning. Hutch is nice size and sturdy but has manufacturing defects. There is a “Made in Vietnam” on the bottom of the top shelf directly on the wood so you can’t remove it like a sticker. I wasn’t planning to paint this hutch, but you’ll be forced to if you want to hide the stamp. The top corners of the hutch do not line up flush. And when I attached the sides the pre-drilled screw holes split the wood. Will be returning and using desk without hutch.UPDATE: Amazon requested I return the damaged item to qualify for a refund. But I am disabled and it is nearly 50lbs. I would need to pay someone to disassemble and package it for me, so returning the damaged item is not possible. (I rely on Amazon delivery for accessibility.) I spent about $200 for this hutch after taxes. Amazon would only refund 20% (about $40) and oddly issued a credit to my account for $61. I attempted to negotiate at least 50% refund and they kept pressuring me to buy a replacement that would cost me full cost- and I might encounter this issue a second time. The whole situation was so odd. I will not purchase risky items like this from Amazon again because they do not accommodate people with disabilities even when they have sold a defective product and the customer provides clear proof.

Very solidly built shelf. It came flat packed with all hardware. You will need a drill for the two self tapping screws that hold in the back paneling, but the the other bolts are put in with a provided allen key.

I’ve ordered several pieces of furniture from this company before and always been satisfied. Unfortunately, this piece has a clear manufacturing defect, such that it cannot be assembled. The very first step of assembly is impossible due to screw holes on one piece not lining up at all with the receiving holes on another piece. Very frustrating. Have to return it.

Beautiful wood and very nicely made. Easy to put together and durable too! Very happy!

Very nice product but it was received damaged, the one thing I like very much is purchasing from Amazon they always are there to make sure you are satisfied.
