Just Paint It!: The World's Most Enjoyable Painting Course. Ever!

Purchased this for a birthday present for a student of mine who shows artistic promise. She loved it - she's new to painting and used what she learned from this book to paint a portrait of my cat!

I bought just draw and I love it. Was expecting the same from just draw but for me it's not as good. It looks like they tried to put to many thing in the book

This is an excellent book.....clearly written with specific and understandable directions for every technique. I would recommend it to people of any age who are interested in art. Kay Esworthy

If it's possible, 'Just Paint It' is even better than its prequel 'Just Draw It' because the authors have gone to town with the whole funky feel of the series.It is as accessible for parents as it is for children, and its left field approach to standard forms of painting give all readers a confidence to try something they would never have previously considered. Who would have predicted that the four of us would spend a happy few weekend hours painting airplanes' contrails, and be content with our creations?What is particularly impressive is that so many of the paintings have been executed by the authors themselves, so you feel you are being guided by truly inspirational artists.A completely visually and creatively satisfying book.

Sorry but it does not match up to its companion Just Draw It. Like the curates egg 'good in parts' it did not enthuse me; mainly because of the standard of illustrations - primitive - or maybe that was the intention. Probably the most important bits are the insets 'Look up' which encourage you to do your own research. By comparison with Just Draw It only rates three to four stars but for someone just starting may be just right - not too demanding

jumps straight in there and gives you ideas and instructions on how to get your paint on. It's really good at not boring or scaring you with lots of information that it puts you of being creative even more as I've experienced with a few books. This really does inspire you to get right int here and start

Excellent book. I'm an art teacher and this is a great resource. Lots of short and accessible projects that are interesting. Lots of references to artists for further research. It is exactly what I was looking for. Also nicely pitched for the amature or for someone with a little experience. It has a very contemporary feel to it

Bought this along with another book in the series 'Just Draw It!' and so far both have proved a good buy. My daughter (12) as not taken her head out of them yet. She's produced some fab results following the course like nature of these books and I'm even inspired to get going myself. Would highly recommend.
