Is this process abrasive? Would it turn granulated sugar into powdered sugar?

I use this to sift flour and i don’t find it abrasive. I wouldn’t think it would turn granulated sugar into powdered . Just a note granulated sugar can be turned into powdered sugar in a blender and that process is very abrasive. Hope this helps.
