Hiking Waterfalls in North Carolina: A Guide To The State's Best Waterfall Hikes

So far of the hikes we have done, the descriptions have been accurate. I have 2 small kids who love waterfalls so this is a perfect way to plan ahead as to which hikes would be most appropriate for little legs. My 3 year old can walk up to 3 miles when motivated by waterfalls.

I lived in Asheville, NC for several years. I bought this book so that I could find all of the beautiful hikes and "hiding from my girlfriend when she's mad" spots up there. This guide has pretty much every location for those wanting to explore the many beautiful hiking that area has to offer.Also great for when the girlfriend sticks you back in the cage so that you can go to your happy place in your head. Lots of great pictures to help you mentally cope with unrelenting terror and fear!

This book is SO helpful. Even the rangers at the Pisgah Ranger Station saw my book and said “That’s a good one.” She’s honest about beauty ratings and gives helpful input about the difficulty of the hike. This was essential for our visit to Transylvania County, and I’m glad I stopped looking at the blogs and just buckled down and bought the book. Very high value info, pictures, and maps.

We live in Georgia, but plan to retire in Western North Carolina. We visit several times a year, and always "do" a waterfall hike, or a view hike. I think the directions are great, and I agree with her on the beauty ratings. I always take it with us so we can easily find the trailhead. Also includes great photos, and it's very well organized. Buy it, you won't be sorry!

We had the best time using the book to find off the beaten path waterfalls. We cant wait to do it again next summer. Highly recommend book.

Good book. If I have a criticism I would like to see a larger overall map or have it broken into sections, otherwise it was very useful and the information accurate.
