Fantastic Company which care about product quality and customer satisfaction!
My dear wife bought me this set of micro miniature carving chisels for Christmas which were very reasonably priced. I had the misfortune of having one of the small chisels break on me during my first use. I contacted Ramelson and within three days I had a new chisel to replace the one that had broken. I had reported the broken chisel but had not requested or demanded a replacement, they just send me one. Wow, this is what I would call fantastic service and outstanding customer satisfaction. The set comes ready to use, incredibly sharp and well made. These chisels work as well as some of the best chisels I own, where an individually chisel may cost as much as this whole set. I never had a real small set of chisels, and this I think, is a great bargain for any wood carver, even for most advanced. I've been a woodcarver for over 10 years and I have enough experience to know when a chisel or carving knife works well or not. So, in ending I will say this is a fabulous set of micro chisels. Thumbs up Ramelson!

Great addition to the carving tool set
This has been a great addition to my tool chest. I carve small faces in wood figures and do much detail in their clothing to give them movement. This micro set is ideal for these purpose. Their size makes them easy to control and they are sharp making the cuts in the wood easy and clean. The set includes the blades anyone making carving miniatures need. I strongly recommend them

It' s all in the Details....
Nice little set of detail carving tools. I have only had them for a couple of months and I feel that the level of detail in my work has improved greatly. I gave them four stars because of the redundancy of the tools. I am not saying the set is not worth the price, I just think they could have offered a better variety of tools instead of the similar strait bladed ones. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and would strongly recommend them to woodcarvers of any experience level.

Quality cutting tools
As a beginner in greeting card size linocuts I was thrilled to acquire these high grade cutting tools. It has made my cuts so much cleaner as the blade does the work with so much less pushing. The speeball was ok but could not be sharpened. I’m very happy with this purchase and recommend them.

Go with a better brand , nothing but trouble !
So disappointed with this purchase . One tool (v-tool) had a flaw in it , right in the gouge area. And none of them will hold an edge and one of them snapped with very little pressure.

These Micro Miniature from Ramelson are exactly what I want when doing fine detail work. The fact that they are made in USA is another plus, because I like to support homeland economies.

You can't beat it for the price
Looking forward to using them for detailing on soapstone. They appear to be fixed securely in their handles and fit well in my hand. Most of the tool edges had to be sharpened right out of the box, one will have to be reshaped on a bench grinder. There's a little redundancy in their edge profiles, too- similarities like two identical flats with one ever so slightly slightly bent midway to the collar and the same thing with the gouges. Still, you can't beat it for the price!

Cheaply made.
I am a wood carver and have been for 30 years. I carve Cottonwood bark and most of the pieces of bark are soft. About 45% of the time you get bark that is hard, but can be carve without a great deal of difficulty. I have broken two of these tools while carving. Honestly, I have never broke a carving tool before. I should have purchased the Dockyard mini-tools instead - have used them for many years and NEVER had one of those tools break. Will never buy Ramelson carving tools again.
