LITHIUM MAX PLUS+ Back Hair Shaver, aka The BACKGROOMER (Just Released!)

This thing is awesome!! I've been using it right at a year, and it has saved my wife the frustration of shaving my back and given me the perfect tool in order to never ask her again. Cake to use, works great, cuts great....Five Stars plus another Five would have been my rating... --EXCEPT-- The battery after a year no longer holds a charge. It slows down and barely works now after a few minutes. The fact I'm still giving it Three Stars is a testament to how awesome I think this thing is, so I'm hoping I got a lemon, and I'm hoping a call to the factory will help me resolve. ***Update-7-22-2020. I've changed my review to its much deserved Five Stars. I contacted their customer service who got back with me very quickly and are sending me a new trimmer. All I had to do was take a picture of the old one and show proof of purchase. They even let me keep my old trimmer in case I needed the head attachments. Fast, easy, and a good way to treat your clients. Much appreciated!

Although the device (when it works!) does a good job, the customer service is horrible. You will need them because each device I have purchased has become defective within a short period of time. It is s hame that their product is so defective. I purchased one about 3 months ago. After two uses the head fell off and never worked well again. It tore at my skin and was too painful to use! After multiple attempts of contacting the company I was sent a replacement head and asked not to mention this online! Do not waste your time on these defective product. The reach on this is super long and not a spot I can't reach and shave easily. I also like that you can lock the handle at different angles because when I go from the side, I like to lock it more like an elbow joint to shave from in to out. One of the best features and improvements over the earlier Mangroomers is this has 2 heads - a big wide one for when hair is long and a 2nd foil head for when you just need touch ups. foil also gets you totally smooth and like a braun face shaver. My favorite thing about this Mangroomer is that it costs me nothing with blades and super safe on my skin. I got tore up with a backblade back razor and never will I put a razor blade to my back. all in all, I love this newest Mangroomer version and buy it, you will not regret it and save you a ton of money over time. :-)

It could be that my hair is too course but this shave still doesn't do a clean shave. Love the reach it has and the wide blade to cover more area. It doesn't pull or snag much but will leave some redness on sensitive skin for about a day. I like this better than anything I've tried before but it still isn't going to be smooth like a razor will.

This is my 3rd model from Mangroomer. 1st model was the one when I had to replace batteries. It broke a long time ago when it fell off the sink on the hard floor. Then 2nd model was the one with rechargeable batteries. After a few years, the head attachment stopped working and I hadn't shaved my caveman back hair for about 5 months by the time I got this 3rd product yesterday. The new wider head is SO MUCH BETTER! It reduce the time and the powerful motor makes it a smoother shave without any of pinching or hair-pulling pains. *I couldn’t shave the top part of my back until the spots heals from a recent laser treatement. For people with caveman and ape body hairs, this is the BEST product to last longer and no blades replacement needed. However, I learned that the head attachment need to be replace time to time, but in the long run, it's money-saving.

The Mangroomer is okay, but not great. It does the job, but it tends to snag and can cause small cuts if you’re not careful. It also doesn’t shave very close, so you’ll likely need another trimmer to complement it for smoother results. That said, the telescopic handle is genuinely useful. It makes reaching your back much easier, which is the main reason to consider this product. For chest hair, however, it’s not a pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it for that. Overall, it works as a back shaver until someone else makes a similar telescopic, adjustable option. For chest or body grooming, I’d recommend the Philips Bodygroom system instead.

I bought this to replace the type of shaver that holds an actual razor. My old method took forever and I usually missed spots. With my new Mangroomer I was able to shave my entire back in about 10 minutes. I don't have super thick hair on my back so I don't know how well it'll mow through for someone who does but it does have a power boost option which would probably help. I love the extending handle and that I can put it multiple positions. It charged very fast out of the box. Maybe an hour or two. I'm sure as long as I keep it clean and oil the blades occasionally it'll last a while. It's a great purchase for me.

Given some of the other reviews, I considered this purchase over several weeks. When the product arrived, I found the wide blade worked particularly well to remove the longer growth and I didn't have any issue with the extendable arm. The shaver blade will take a bit longer to get used to but the next shave should be easier. Comments about the battery will need to wait a few months but so far, so good. I'm very happy with the purchase.

It's a little noisy but that's a small price to pay for something that works great. The wide head made quick work with no missed areas. Overall, it's a great product that was built for the purpose that you bought it for instead of trying to use something that threatens to dislocate your shoulder trying to reach the upper middle portion of your back. Not need to admit defeat with this one and see if you can bribe your wife / girlfriend / mom (no judgement here) to get the bits you missed. Would definitely buy it again if this one gets lost or wears out.

Don't buy it guys ... I am searching how to return it back...it Doesn't work at all

Unpacking the product is hard and takes a lot of time. I used it once and it is very painfull for your back. The big blade dose not do anything, the small one made by back bleed. My recomandation is not to buy this thing.
