Educational and Interesting
This textbook is full of up to date information that is applicable to those who are interested in or are studying online media strategies and marketing in the fashion world. Moore focuses on a variety of social media platforms and ways of promoting a brand whether it’s for a blogger, fashion house or clothing store and more. The writing is very simple to read but it’s not overly simplistic because it has a lot of knowledge in it that can be beneficial for a number of people. I really enjoyed the various ways in which she showed online fashion marketing tactics for the larger fashion businesses such as Henry Holland and Top Shop which many people also like. I wasn’t expecting the book to be so multi-faceted but for me it was enlightening to get to learn about things such as styling and the editorial/photography side of a brand. There are many examples of real life events which were helpful and relatable when it came to topics such as twitter, Facebook and blogs. There was background information on how the technology has advanced and that people are now able to access brands quicker but what I’m still interested in finding out that I didn’t think this book addressed fully is how to transition into the next fad. There will eventually be a new social media platform and it would be interesting to know if there are any tools that somebody can work on so that the transition is easy. Overall I really enjoyed this textbook from a marketing perspective, the fact that is was based on fashion made it more appealing because of the visual concept.

A good read. arrived in very good condition. Very educational and also good for referencing on promotion and marketing. Enjoyed.
