AvianX Jake Quarter Strut Decoy, Camo

Great realistic decoy. I was surprised how much lung capacity it took to inflate but it’s heavy rubber which makes it durable but not a quick or easy inflate.

First Hunt I used it, had a turkey come in on a string from across a field trying to mess this decoy up. Looks very life like and is easy to transport / set up.

This is my second avian x decoy. They’re a little bulky but so realistic. Definitely follow instructions for Set up prior to hunting - it takes some time to inflate

These decoys are spot on with the colors and design quality but not with design function. They are heavy and cumbersome to carry around. The amount of time and noise it takes to inflate and deflate these isn’t practical in the field. I love the carry bag they come in though and used it quite often this past spring. In May a group of my hunting buddies and myself took a turkey hunting trip that included hiking over steep terrain and long distance. I bought two of these including a male Jake and the hen. Another buddy bought another set. The decoys sure did look stunning sitting up ready for a turkey to come in on them but hauling them in and out turned out to be a bit of a workout. Would I buy them again? Yes. It’s just not as holy as what I thought they would be.

Overall a great decoy. Paint job on the body is awsome! Paint job on the head could be better. Ok from a distance, but up close there's small black spots on the head that aren't covered by the paint scheme. I used paint pens to fill in the spots. Shouldn't have to do that for the money they charge for these. But, maybe I'm just too picky. Still a great decoy.

This decoy looks amazing! However, like some other customers have said, the decoy loses air. It is a thick enough material that it doesn't totally deflate, but you will need to re-inflate it before each use. I was not a big fan of the inflation tube either. The two leg stubs make it tough to get a hold of the valve with your mouth to put air into. Other than the deflation issues, like I said, the look of this decoy is incredible. I bought it late in the season and the birds went decoy shy big time, so I haven't had any luck with it yet. Looking forward to next year!
