Read this in a day. Only qualm was Cassini felt a little doormatish. The only reason she stayed in the sham of a forced marriage to an abusive man is bc she gave him her word? Nah. Doesn't add up..that's really it. Everything else I loved!

So good I didn’t want to stop reading even at the very end. It just means I’ll have to pick up the sequel and start again. This doesn’t need a literary review, only a few notes that tell you how wonderful it is, how sexy, exciting and dynamic. Penelope sky is on a roll.

I really loved the story of Balto and Cassini. It was off the chart’s sexy as sin! The characters were good and the story (first part) was well developed. I won’t belabor the plot as it has been done here already. Just safe to say I’m moving on the part 2. Five stars on this one.☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️

While I've read books by this author previously it has been awhile and I had forgotten how good she was with her storylines. The only complaint I have is the development through out this story with this hero's character. I get the sense he was supposed to be a force to be reckon with but it seemed to have missed the mark just a bit for me.Now, I will continue on with this series, because damnit our heroine finds herself out of the pan and into the fire.. Oh boy! I just hope book 2 comes together better this one... Fingers crossed!Overall Rating:4* ~ A Good Read

I am so glad this came out in kindle u.The story is unique. Well written and just the right balance of steam.It also is not filled with over descriptions just to fill pages .The only tiny critique was mmc also had deals in female trafficking and because it was done previously he didn't think it needed to change.I've read stinker books one after another here lately and finally something worth reading.I hope next books are just as good.

This book was surprisingly very good. I didn't know what to expect but I sure couldn't put the book down. The end of the book has be intrigued for the next book. Good writing.

This is the first in a 3 series Skull books. Glad Penelope decided to put some of her stories on kindle unlimited. Balto meets an unhappy and trapped wife of Lucian at a bar. Immediately, there is a mutual attraction. Cassini sets out to have a one night affair to help her cope with the abusive and disturbing marriage she is in. What she doesn't expect is for it to last longer than one night... and the man she burns for might just be scarier and more powerful than her husband.

When I started to read this book I thought that Balto was rather soft, but boy was I wrong about him! As the plot intensified my view of his character changed. I don’t even wanna give too much away. Here’s the gist: Balto and Lucian have conflict from a deal gone wrong, Lucian didn’t hold up his end and now there’s hatred between them. Balto meets a beautiful woman in a bar one night and they begin a torrid and passionate love affair. The passion here will make your kindle smolder with little heart shaped puffs, it’s that good. Balto doesn’t know who Cressini is married to until a night at the opera brings it all crashing down. Things flow quickly from there and you’ve got to read the rest. I’m starting the new one right now. 💕💕💕💕💕

I loved this story about a woman who was forced to marry a high end criminal in order to save her fiance's life. One night, she meets a gorgeous man who she is instantly attracted to. As she is meeting with her husband, he leaves her his card.What follows is an intense, hot affair which none of them want to end. But who is she married to? Hot read.

Well here we have another series from this red hot author, both literally and through her literature. The scenes are so explicit between Balto and Cassini. You can actually feel their chemistry. There is enough of a story,drama and intrigue to keep the reader turning the pages to learn more, and then!! A cliffhanger. Out of the frying pan into an inferno. Balto is one very dark sinister criminal. Who is excellent between the sheets, and a very powerful sin. Cassini is an object oo eye candy for her cruel, sinister husband. Who is really a coward, bully and pig. A great story and I can’t wait till the next instalment.

I finished this in one sitting. The smut is 🍆🍆🍆 the story line though is brilliant esp as Mafia enemies go.Will be reading book 2

Loved it, and I’m now going looking for book 2. First time reading this author, but not the last time.

Another new author to me & WOW!!! I’m excited to read more of their work.This book was edgy & well written all the way through, I couldn’t put it down. Would recommend. 5* from me!
