I’ve been a massive remote speedlights user since the year 2008. So I had very high expectations from this flash. I've used it on 10 weddings and here's my 2 cents.Pros1. The head swivels all sides and can even tilt backward a little. It's very helpful.2. Falls into godox/flashpoint ecosystem. Can control, be controlled, etc.3. As powerful as any other hi-class spedlight, bus less expensive.4. The charger is tiny, and the flash has a dedicated powerful li-ion battery.5. Has a built-in adjustable modeling light which is helpful.6. The remote control design is so much easier than in a previous model, although I had problems with it (see below)Cons1, It’s stupid but it is. The control dial has a bottom click. Which I pressed with my FOREHEAD like 15 times during the 3-hour reception shoot.On camera mode, the accidental forehead click changes the mode to stroboscope (RPT) which I honestly think no one actually uses. If it's in exposure correction mode, the accidental forehead click dials down the power output of the flash. The only way to avoid this, is after every time you changed the power output, select zoom function where the bottom dial click has no effect.In the remote control mode, an accidental forehead click changes the mode to stroboscope (RPT).If one group is highlighted, a forehead click dials down the power output for the group.The only way not to change anything due to this flaw is to highlight the group you NOT use, after each adjustment you made.2. The LCD backlight doesn’t turn on when you turn on your camera backlight. So basically if you’re shooting in a dim light as I do, you have 2 options: 1) turn the flash backlight on by pressing any button on it (and changing a setting by doing that), 2) keep the backlight on the flash always on which is pretty bright for a dim light environment and you can’t change itOverall it’s a good flash which does the job. The remote control on previous versions was HORRIBLE where you had to press like 4 buttons and rotate 1 dial to make a slight change. This version is a step forward from v860ii.

This speedlight is powerful and versatile. The price for the quality is a bonus! The round light fall on the subject gives a more organic look. The modeling light can be used is many different ways. Quick recycle rate, long battery life, nice weight, strong magnetic head for accessories. Programming is quick and easy after a few uses.*For Nikon Users it does require a Godox remote trigger or an additional flash for off camera use.

A great addition to my speed light arsenal. I already have the 860II and adding the V1 and the wireless controller makes it a true lighting package.

I've used this since an year now. It is a great flash, sufficient battery and I got good results. Only complaint I have is it got stuck to my camera and won't come off. I know why it is stuck, read about the same issue others are facing posted by others. Unless I pay at least a $100 to get it removed by a professional, I have no way out. I would warn others to be careful when connecting to the camera hot shoe.

I previously had the AA battery powered godox flash this one is doing numbers in comparison!

I know this style of flash head has been first introduced by another manufacturer, but this one is as good or better as far as functionality goes, but 30% LESS COST . . . you can buy 2 of these for the cost of one of those "others", and still have money left over . . ! Some slight difference in quality but overall, a great value.Light pattern is much smoother and even coverage in round shape vs the square head light patterns . . much more pleasing and better coverage when used in a soft box . . . power is great and extended battery use is excellent.

I haven't used the product a great deal, but I have been pleased with the results so far. It takes a little bit of doing to set it up if you are a hobbyist like me, but playing with it for a short while yielded good results. I also purchased the XPro N remote with it and the two synced flawlessly. The latch that secures it to the camera mount is great and keeps the flash securely in place. So far, I have nothing to complain about on this flash unit.
