Great Duplicator
Never ordered a duplicator from Copystars previously. The shipment was triple boxed with the inside box custom fitted to the unit. This product performs as well as any duplicating equipment I own. I especially like the M-Disc capability for no additional cost when compared to other brands. Had it burning DVDs 15 minutes after I unpacked it. PROS: - No learning curve, intuitive menu selections and functions, Lots of burn and verify speeds and options. CONS: None so far

Landmark Acquisition
I purchased this duplicator as a gift for a church in Gujarat, India where I am working. The previous review was positive and mentioned that a drive damaged in shipment had been damaged, but corrected by seller. I am happy to report that the packaging was sufficient to get the product safely to its destination and I was not required to request long distance repairs. I checked the duplicator in its original packaging as luggage in Pittsburgh. I then further air freighted the package from Mumbai to Vadodara in Gujarat. The church reports that all seven drives are operational and they may now be the only church in Gujarat with this sort of equipment. They are quite pleased with this new expansion of their CD ministry.

The system worked great for nearly 4 yrs
The system worked great for nearly 4 yrs. then the power supply went out on it. I would have given it a 2 Star rating were it not for Copystars tech support. The guy there was very helpful in helping me acquire the part I needed.

Piece Of Crap
This thing sucks. Right off the bat, it wouldn't accept one of the 7 blank discs I inserted, saying "Bad Media". This is a disc that went on to burn perfectly fine in my desktop, mind you. It got about halfway through copying to the 6 discs it would actually accept and then gave the message "Source Error" and cancelled the burn process, rendering all 6 discs unusable. Back it goes. Save yourself the time and trouble (like what I'll have to go through boxing this piece of crap back up and taking it to UPS) and avoid altogether.

Reliable duplicator at a great price- watch the power button though
I have had this duplicator for 4 years and it is still going strong! I purchased this on a whim to replace a failing $1200 duplicator and this one has just kept going. The discs copy quickly and reliably - both DVDs and CDs. These are all for in-house produced discs. Mostly single layer- but have done a dual that worked okay. Since I have a thermal printer, I have been running Verbatim Thermal recordable discs which have worked very reliably. Some cheaper discs have coastered on me more often - but i think that is more of a matter of the media and not the duplicator. I run almost all my discs in the copy + verify mode which helps make sure all the copying has gone well- the verify has saved me on a couple discs that seemed to copy okay - but were defective- Here is one issue I had in my first year of owning and am not sure if the design has changed. The power button has a very light touch and is easy to not fully engage. I did that one time accidentally - slip of the finger - and it shorted and toasted the power supply! Fortounately for me, I still had the casing to my old 1-7 duplicator and swapped all the drives and controller to that tower - My warning - make sure you fully engage that power button- When i called customer service they did not have just a power supply to sell to me - Other than that, the machine has been a workhorse and paid for itself many times over

Overall a Good Duplicator
We burn an average of 200 CDs per month and find this burner to be a decent piece of equipment. We would normally use our favorite brand of CDs (Verbatim) when using this unit, but we found the unit a bit iffy when using them. We've slowed down burn rates, then switched to another brand CD. All seems to be okay now. Whether it was the change in CD brands or the slowing down of burn speeds that helped, we are not sure. Overall, a nice duplicator. Some folks complain about the load fans. Having built a good number of PC units from scratch, we believe in LOTS of air movement. So do the makers of this duplicator. There is no complaint from us about fan noise. We love device fans. Let 'em breathe!

A little disappointed.
Worked for a while, then started making loud noises after a couple months, then stopped burning DVDs. Ended up having to purchase another burned. A little disappointed.
