I wanted a case which just covers the back of my iPad mini because I usually keep it on my desk. Also I have a zip case for travel which will protect it from most drops or damage. PLEASE NOTE - many of the products that say they support both the iPad mini 4 and the iPad mini 5 are bogus. This item DOES NOT SUPPORT iPad mini 4. Even Apple says the 4 and the 5 have the same buttons/holes but they don't. The iPad mini 5 is different around the camera/microphone holes. I love that this is so easy to install - and it fits my iPad mini 5 beautifully.
