Great Introduction to Roger Williams
Roger Williams had a brilliant mind and wrote in a high literary style of his time that is difficult today. Further, to understand his writings, knowledge of the context on his personal background is necessary, which is debatable on many facts. This book can serve as a very good beginning point to reading and understanding Williams. The historical introduction sets out the basics. The great volume of Williams' writings are reduced to something manageable and set in a format for easier understanding of the literary style. One can understand the essence of Williams from this book, without too great an investment of time, and then, go on to mastering his work from direct sources more easily.

Roger Williams is foremost among our founding fathers!
Well written with lots of great information but in a manageable size. This volume provides valuable insight into this important period of our history.

No benefit in reading this that I can see.
Perhaps this book would be useful to the scholar but it is useless to me. If you are already familiar with the writings of Roger Williams it may be useful.
