Deliverance and Inner Healing

John and Paula Sandford have been writing at Elijah House since 1975. They have written chapters in earlier works on Deliverance, while Inner Healing received whole books. In this book, the two topics are presented as a necessary pair. This is the voice of experience. Sometimes a blockage must be cleared before something which needs healing can be seen. Sometimes inner healing reveals there was access that must now be delivered. Their son Mark, active and experienced in their ministry, replaces Paula as co-author.It has been 28 years since the Sandford books opened my eyes, but they kept on learning from their continued counseling. This book's clarity shows the depth of experience which they have now gained. They are able to put exorcism in the low place it deserves. They are able to put personal history in the high place which it deserves. Most of all, they are able to explain the apparent specialization of access, which caused past incorrect focus on demon names.There is also new clarity about four levels of access, from infestation (no control) to possession (full control). In reading about infestation, I found confirmation of something I read long ago in a Barclay study guide, that people in the Bible era believed demons were all around them waiting for an opening to get in. In this book, it seems that what was true then is true now.This book was written to show the need for pairing Deliverance with Inner Healing. It still gives excellent background in both of those separate topics. It could easily serve as an introduction or summary of either topic. You can read this book without prior background. You can read it without alarm, which cannot always be said of books on these topics. And you can read it with assurance that there is no more experienced wisdom to be found.

This is one of the best books I've ever read on all the details of prayer and Deliverance Ministry highly recommend reading it and referring to it if you are in our thinking of starting a prayer Deliverance Ministry.

Very controversial on certain topics concerning demons, however I know he is writing from the level His is on. Sometimes you have to chew the meat and spir the bones out. A lot of great info, but there is more revelation he needs in certain areas concerning deliverance.

We are all damaged and broken, but through God's mercy and kindness, He gives us wholeness that only He can give. This book gives great insight on how demons can control us through unrepented sin. We might think we forgive someone, but how deep does the hurt go? If you want to grow stronger in Christ and have a more intimate relationship with Him, read this book.

This book is amazing. It is packed with so much information. On a personal note I was able to go through an inner healing just from reading the book. Awesome job

If you are apart of a healing or deliverance ministry, this book is a definite must. It is all scripture based and gives solid teaching on deliverance and inner healing. There are many superstitious myths in charismatic circles taught and this shines the light of truth into these areas.

Another excellent book from the Sandfords. My only complaint is that I would very much have liked much more detail on demonic strongholds and how to deal with them. But this is yet another brilliant book for those interested in inner healing. I would recommend ALL books by John and Paula Sandford, or by either of them in conjunction with other family members. True pioneers in the subject.

A much more down to earth and simpler approach to the subject of Christian inner healing. This is a book for anyone who wants to know freedom in Christ and who want to help other receive their freedom. It is a "first aid" approach so it is not as complicated as some other books on the subject.

I highly recommend this book to every follower of Christ, especially those involved in ministry. I also recommend their other books, especially "Why good people mess up".

John and Paula Sandford were pioneers in the Inner Healing field. This is a must-have book for people in the Inner Healing stream. John has brought his life-long experience together with Mark's experience and shared it for all to see. Just buy it and enjoy! Inner Healing and deliverance go hand-in-hand. Be informed! Very helpful in the area of deliverance and inner healing. This is an area that help is needed so desperately and John and Mark Sandford provide that help within the pages of this book. Not only will it help people get free, it also is a great teaching tool for ministers who are heaping people get free.
