Outstanding book. Very informative!

This is one of the best books on intercession and I highly recommend it to all intercessors. This book contains a lot of insight and revelation to help intercessors grow spiritually!

Powerful intercessory prayer warrior book.

We need militant intercession. Cindy Jacobs shows us this reality as we stand in the gap for the United States of America. We need to possess the gates of the enemy by doing acts of intercession that pull down the strongholds that are existent in the United States of America. We can truly do militant intercession to see those strongholds taken down in order for America to experience true freedom that only God can bring. Allow God to mold you into a militant intercessor as you pray for the United States of America.

I first Possessing the Gates of the Enemy in the 90's, this really did help me in my warfare walk against Satan himself. I first saw Cindy Jacobs at a seminar, at Christ for The Nations in Dallas, Texas, and it was much needed, because little did I know that I was about to experience real warfare. Most people do not realize, that a lot of their troubles are spiritual attacks by Satan himself, yes he has his soldiers as well, but a true Warrior for Christ, he tends to come forth to battle. I truly thank God for Cindy's obedience in writing the first books, as well as this revised version. I had been talking with a lady from our church, and she was going through one episode, after another. I then realized that she was in spiritual warfare, and I told her about Cindy's book "Possessing the Gates of the enemy, and since her finances were low, I offered to buy it for her, and that is when I found the revised virgin, it was a set up by God for me to also purchase the book for myself, because I let someone borrow my first book and I never got it back. I ended up buying 4 books, one for myself, and three more for three other ladies at my church. This book as been more than a blessing, it has taught me how to strategically fight Satan and his soldiers. I thank God for Cindy Jacobs, I am sure Possessing the Gates of the Enemy has been a blessing to many.

I fully believe in intercession and I wanted to learn more, but I'm really not convinced by two-thirds of the book. The book has many examples of the author's friends' own physical safety, but not one example is directly about people's salvation and coming to know Christ. And praying against stock market from crashing!? Priority should be praying for people's hearts to return to God, not pray against a crash (crashing is part of a natural cycle). The examples in the 'flaky' chapter are all 100% superstition. I can't imagine any one calling them "intercession". However, I do agree intercession is asking God for forgiveness of the nation (this one is biblical).

Without a doubt a very clear and concise biblical manual dealing with very hard issues the majority of people, Christians and non Christians don't want to admit as being real. Unfortunately our western lifestyle often blinds us to the "real going ons" which first take place in the heavenlies and supernatural world. I would recommend this only to those who are willing to believe the bible is without doubt the Word of God and as relevant today as it was when the Holy Spirit gave it to its writers.
