Delightful Series
I have had this series in paperback and have just replaced it for the Kindle. I found the entire series well done, a four stars for its genre. The writing flows easily and gives a good sketch of the characters without bogging down. The stories are somewhat formulaic but it's hard not to be when you read so much, I think if not for that I would have given them a five star. The characters face the present day consequences of being abandoned as children, but it does not become the be all, end all in the story, and they don't whine and cry about it; they do have to deal with it and do so in a manner that arcs the entire series; so while an epiphany might seem to come quickly for the sake of the current story, each lead male, continues to absorb the changes and grow through them through all 5 stories. You don't have to read them in order but there are references to things from the beginning so it would be a good idea. I felt like I could hang out at Ryan's Place. You will enjoy reading about how each brother finds his mate and what they have to go through to realize that they are deserving of love and can trust. Both the male and female characters are well written and that is not always easy to do. When I find myself thinking about the story while I am doing my chores, then I know the author hit the mark!

The Devaney Brothers
I loved this series! It was a nice change from the typical "Boy meets girl, they hate each other, they love each other, they fight, they make up, they get married and live happily ever after. It was also about family, and sacrifice and forgiveness, and how people make bad choices when they're under pressure. The three oldest brothers must balance newfound love, brotherhood, and a shared pain from their parents betrayal, while the two youngest deal with something akin to survivor's guilt, as their parents kept them, but not their brothers. These books talk about real issues, and how a family recovers from such a trauma, even after 20 years apart. There are some mature themes, i would not allow my younger sister to read them, but even if just for easy reading, i would recommend this series to romantics like myself, and to anyone interested in a real story on the importance of family

Fantastic read
This book was all about family and getting to know each other.know each other. The story was so ovine that I am sure it could have been true. The emotion in each one of the brothers was over whelming and the tears the book brought to my eyes so real, This is what true love and family is all about. I went through at least several kleenex. Love the book. i read al the book but the last was the best. A must read to them all to get the entire picture.

The devaney brothers:Michael and patrick
Very interesting book to read. Very interesting to look at the effects that having been separated from brothers even at very early ages had on these young men. Do hope there will be another book that involves the parents and how they effect these brothers in their relationships once they find out the reasons that caused the abandonment of three of their sons while they "kept" their twin boys.

Devaney Brothers Book 2 is great
Family dynamics is really shown in this book and I love how Sherryl has brought the brothers together after years apart. I didn't read this series the first time around so can't wait for Book 3. Great job as usual I love her Sweet Magnolia's Books as well as Chesapeake shores.

Brotherly love
This was a very heartwarming book. Very well written. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the third and final book coming out June 1, 2014. This book made you understand that life isn't always how you think it is going to be. The strong love of these brothers proved that heartfelt love among family is very strong. Definitely would recommend this a a good read.

easy reading
I enjoyed this book and on getting to the part pertaining to the second brother it became clear that there was a format which the author used. Easily read and I would advise reading the books in sequence to make sense of the outcome.

Mediocre
This was not up to her usual standard. I think it was probably written before she had realised to put more depth in her stories. It was pleasant but merely light.
