Spirit Animals Coloring Book

I believe this may be one of Hanna Karlzons best coloring books. Most of the illustrations are/could be a double page spread with a theme and coordinated images. I enjoyed her steam punk pages with a steam punk clothed woman and on the facing page an insect modified with gears and other industrial bits to be a steam punk bug. However most pages are of an animal and a person. It is a very clever book and again the images are the perfect blend between enough detail to hold your interest and challenge your coloring skills just a bit and not so much detail it is overwhelming. Her illustrations are truly designed to be colored and may be done in a variety of media since the paper is a very good quality for a bit of water or water based markers as well as colored pencils and ink.

I’m a big fan of Hanna Karlzon’s coloring books. I anxiously await for her new printable PDF drawings from her shop as well as her coloring books. I bought the Swedish copy as soon as it came out and now I purchased this version on Amazon as I always like to have 2 copies of it in case I screw up some drawing. Yeah, call me a freak. But this is a serious hobby to me. Lol. This book is about spirit animals and their counterparts. So to each girl face there’s a corresponding animal. For that we have a pirate girl and parrots, a mermaid and sea horses, a steampunk lady and her bug, a lady magician and her dove, a warrior and his horse, a sweet flower girl and her humming birds, a dreamy princess and her unicorn, a lioness and her lion, a witch and her frogs, so one and so forth. Then there is a spread that has caused some controversy and I post it here. It’s a symbolic drawing of the sun girl and the moon priestesses. The ram skull on both pages of this spread is a symbol of leadership, initiative, action and determination and also is the astrological symbol for Aries. All elements of tenderness, love and magic are contained in all of Hanna’s work. Crystals, candles, stars, wings, beads, candy and flowers permeate the drawings. Beautiful birds, seashells, seahorses, inhabit the pages and share the space with ladies with elaborated head dresses sometimes looking straight at you and other times in profile. Coloring these pages is embarking on a world of dreams.

I have all of Hanna's books. This by far is my FAVORITE!!! I waited to buy this one because I was afraid of skin tones. With a little practice with skin tones. I am so excited to start this book. The faces are just a small part of the double page ( kinda ) spreads. A beautifully illustrated woman with so many details matching her spirit animal on the opposite page. This really might be Hanna's most beautiful book! Yes, there is a "witch and her frogs" and "a magician and her rabbit" oh, and a bat woman. who doesn't do Halloween? And 2 women with ram horns. 1st is Noone an Aries? 2nd look it up, not ominous in any way. This book is gorgeous! I love it!

i'm a huge fan of hanna's work and this book is so fun and unique compared to her others. it has some steam punk elements the other books dont but also it has her usual fishes ad fall themed images i just love. the paper quality is thick and great for coloring with most mediums though i wouldn't use markers on her book because of the bleed through. i defiatley recommend this to add to your coloring collection! a must have.

Hanna Karlzon's illustrations are amazing. There are no words to describe how talented she is. This is her first book I have purchased. After that I managed to buy two more. The book itself is of excellent quality. Thick cover. Thick pages. The only downside - it is illustrated on both sides, so if you color with markers you have to give up some of the drawings. Still highly recommended.

I absolutely love this artist's latest book! I really am liking the greater variety in her drawings in this book, especially the edgier and steampunk art. I own all her other books, and while her drawings have similar depictions, I've always enjoyed the highly imaginative and varied pictures to color, some of her books more than others. This book has mostly profiles/ faces rather than scenery, as is appropriate to the theme of this book. Happy with this purchase to add to my collection.

Spirit Animals (Soulmates in Swedish) is full of animals and people drawn in a similar fashion with matching items, design, etc. I’m not sure why so many people are saying this book is full of dark symbols. I saw maybe 2 pages that could be construed this way (one with ram heads and another with a witch) but other than that, the pictures are beautiful and similar to her other books. If you enjoy coloring animals and people, you will absolutely love her newest work of art!

I absolutely love Hanna Karlzon's books and artwork. This one is beautiful and very mystical feeling- kinda dark is some way , but I didn't expect there to be as much of a witchy vibe which I don't necessarily like. So some of the images that had more of a witchy feel, I plan on experimenting with because I happen to be kind of superstitious. Other than that this book did not disappoint, I cannot wait to start coloring in it.

Super mooi kleurboek met mooie platen. Harde kaft en goed stevig papier. Enige minpunt is dat ik dus niet mijn markers/stiften kan gebruiken omdat het er op de andere pagina doorheen komt. En op elke pagina staan platen, dat is zonde. Daardoor zal ik niet snel een ander boek van deze illustrator kopen. Jammer Ik pas mijn review aan omdat ik wel degelijk erg tevreden ben. Ik heb de stiften aangepast aan wat niet door het papier heen komt en gebruik daarbij ook vaker potloden. Ik heb vandaag zelfs 2 nieuwe kleurboeken van Hanna Karlzon binnen gehad, zo tevreden ben ik.

Libro sicuramente molto interessante da colorare. Disegni magnifici, rilegatura e carta perfetti. Consigliato.

Espectacular edición y maravillosos dibujos.

Hanna Karlzon and her publisher makes the best quality pencil and pen colouring books. Hard cover, sewn binding. Need to work it a little to make the pages lay flat, but the pages aren't going to fall out. The paper is ivory and thicker than Johanna Basford's UK colouring books. There is also a little tooth, which I really like. I'm going to try clear gesso on some of the pages and painting. The drawings are equally suitable for pencil, pen or painting. Not full of tiny details. The drawings leap across the page. I really liked the themed double spreads in this book. I do wish there was more of a margin on the inside. It's printed right up to the binding.
