Had its ups and downs
I've read the other 2 books this series, I really liked Temptation in a Kilt , and wasn't crazy about X Marks the Scot .The h is given in marriage to the H supposedly to bring peace between their clans. Meanwhile the h's family want her to get the H to trust her so that she can recover a 'seeing' stone that was taken by the H's clan years before. As time goes on the h falls for the H and feels guilty about betraying him. There are attempts on the h's life and plenty of other intrigues.+++Spoilers+++Basically I felt the story was a bit rushed in places, like I really wasn't convinced that the h was in love with the H when she said she was. He hadn't done anything wonderful at that point and actually hadn't shared her bed for that week. She'd been thinking at that point that he wasn't romantic and missed contact with him. The fact that the h wasn't honest and didn't tell the H what the story was, wasn't credible. She knew it was wrong by that stage but still thought that by finding the stone, she could protect the H.If there is one thing that kills me in a book it's when the H hurls accusations at the h and calls her a wh**e. This is of course what happens in this book and I was already a bit frustrated with the storyline, so it was kind of the last straw for me. When the H finally comes for the h, she of course runs into his arms sobbing and tells him how much she loves him.I think if this book had been 100 pages longer and certain aspects, like the falling in love part, had been developed properly, it could've been way better. The author could also have left out the few pages of the H taking leave of his mistress in a pretty carnal way, it didn't add to the story at all and I was scratching my head as to why it was included. I kept wondering if she'd come back to cause trouble later, but she didn't. I would also have liked to see some serious grovelling on the part of the H at the end and of course the h could also have done her share for keeping her secrets from him too.Ah well, if you're not too fussy and are looking for a quick Scottish historical romance then you may like this one.

Wicked Cool!!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed To We a Wicked Highlander. This book was fast paced and I loved the heroine and hero from the first pages. When Alex kisses Sybella by the waterfall, you just know that will be something he will never forget or for that matter, will Sybella. I loved the imagery of that scene. As the years pass, neither one can get the image of that first kiss out of their minds or hearts. It was the thing that fantasies are built upon.I enjoyed the gentle spirit of the heroine in this story. She also showed great bravery when battling the choice between her clan and her husband. Sybella is a woman who is kind both children and the elderly and all who meet her love her from the start. It is hard to imagine Alex distrusting her, but when clans are notably on opposite ends, it is hard to imagine loyalty from even your closest ally/rival.I really liked the descriptive narrative of scenes and I could envision the surroundings so vividly by Ms. Roberts' descriptions. I loved the development of all the characters from the little Lachlan to the aged but beloved Aunt. I loved the sense of family and fealty. To say that Alex was wicked, though, surprised me. I found him to be wonderful, in an Alpha male sort of way. I would imagine the wickedness refers to his very sensual male presence, which of course could lead one to wicked wicked flights of fancy. I loved him.All in all, I enjoyed this story immensely. I think you will too if you enjoy Highland Romances fraught with action, passion, and characters that are loveable and believable. Looking forward to reading the next in the Bad Boys of the Highlands series.

To Wed a Wicked Highlander
The drama of love conquering betrayal and anger over a father who lost focus on his duty to his family and clan, makes for a very stirring love story. The two star crossed lovers that start out as enemies only to find their own happily ever after was well written. I couldn't put it down till I finished it.

To Wed a Wicked Highlander
This is by far the best of the three books by Ms. Roberts! It's steamy to say the least, much more so than her first two books! I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and the characters were much better defined in this book than in her first two. She is a promising fledgling writer that has consistently improved with each book. Give her a chance, I think she will be a top notch author. I hope to give her a five star rating to her future books! Happy reading!

Great book with a solid & interesting plot
Victoria does it again! This book had all the intrigues of Scottish history, a plot that started with a chance encounter, moved to an arranged marriage that was plagued with dark family secrets and deception then ended with a renewed love between two very different people. Victoria included visits from characters from her prior books along with including a bit of dark magic that really blended well within the story line. This is a book that you will not put down since the story unfolds wickedly fast and holds your attention with the plot and story line.

Good read
I liked this book. The story line was good. I enjoyed the characters and read it to the end (if I don't like a book I don't finish it). It kept me coming back to see what was happening. I think anyone who buys it and likes books about scottish warriors will be satisfied with it.

This was just an OK book. This was my first book, and may very well be my last book by Victoria. She used and abused the words "giggle" and "chuckle" entirely too much. Giggle in my opinion is a childish thing which implies immaturity and chuckle implies the person does not know how to LAUGH.
