Radical
Although brief, there is a direct challenge to one's belief in Christ and what's necessary to know our neighbors and Him more intimately

VERY Christian Focused, Best Applied Where Neighborhood Depressed Or Culturally Different
As a non-Christian I was hoping to learn techniques that might be helpful with my own religious group. It turns out this is a very Christian focused book which I found limited its approaches significantly for my purposes. The second point is this book focuses on reaching a community that is largely of โthe least among usโ and not very applicable to building community in middle-class and up neighborhoods; the situation I am working within. There are some valuable tidbits, but a small fraction for me compared to its intended audience. This is a good book for inner city and economically depressed Christian practices. I think itโs important to understand the inhabitants to build trust, comity and community. With a very specifically Christian context this book provides a roadmap for that purpose.Because this is clearly a focused book and I appreciate how well it reaches that purpose. I was hoping to adapt it outside its mandate and found I got less than I expected. Iโm giving Neighborhood Mapping 4 stars because itโs good within its intended application, but the content isnโt so adaptable for my groupโs purposes. If you are in a Christian ministry and trying to engage with culturally different or depressed neighborhoods this is probably a good resource.

Practical
Great book to use for effective ministry. Doc Fuder is capable to write a book on urban ministry based on experience and education.

Mission Thinkers Gold
A helpful book with practical wisdom for getting under the skin of your community in order to serve as a missionary church. You think you know your community but maybe you need to think again and put a strategy in place for getting to know it better. This book is gold dust for practical thinkers.
