A fun and easy to read book
This is a great book to learn about how the chocolate chip cookie was invented. It includes information about the original Toll House Inn and how Ruth Wakefield incorporated the cookie into her recipes at the Inn. The words are easy to understand and their are many pictures to help the reader understand the context.

Yummy Cookie Discovery
I presented Ruth Wakefield at an adult lecture as a prominent woman inventor. I used the book's information and other sources. The lecture ended with each participant getting a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie that followed Ruth's discovery recipe. There were more men than women in the group and it was so well received.in addition, one of the members purchased the book for her grandchildren. YEAH!

in an easy to read format
Written for young readers, just beginning to study biographies, this book is an engaging story of Ruth Wakefield. I learned the history of the woman, her restaurant, and her recipe, in an easy to read format. I love to read, but sometimes juvenile nonfiction is just right to glean information from quickly!
