My husband bought this- it works great- however should come with a warning that your husband will use it inside constantly, it’s great quality for both sound and build. Good value for money. Just let your husband know it’s an outdoor ONLY gift 😂

Great beginner call.
Great beginner call. My 5 year old grandson is calling like a pro after a few brief lessons. Call has a nice raspy tonal quality.

Good place to start for calling turkeys
We have a flock of wild turkeys coming through our yard almost every day, and I wanted to play. I bought this because it was compact and simple, and this has proved to be true. It takes a little jiggering to make the calls work as expected, but overall it is very simple. I hadn't used a turkey caller in decades, so I wanted something simple. When the slate becomes "polished" it is simple to resolve. Remove the cover and rinse the slate rather than sanding. Overall, we are happy. It is fun to see the turkeys freeze and look at us as we are "talking turkey." :)

Good starter call
Work well to get started but you be buying a better call if you are serious. Good for kids or new hunters. Gets your hands going in the right direction.

If you continue using the yellow guide the slate gets polished and is hard to orodice sound. Easy fix isto clean the slate with fine steel wool or even window cleaner to remove any buildup.
