Enjoyable Modern Espresso Cup. Durable Glass and Metal. Perfectly Sized for Moka Pot Coffee
This review is for the Bormioli Rocco 3 1/2 oz Espresso Cup with Stainless Steel Handle (Set of 4). I purchased this set when looking for a glass espresso cup that would allow me to check out crema from the side and give me an additional fun option in which to serve and enjoy espresso. The set arrived in a branded cardboard box with pictures of the cup, advertising text, manufacturing information, and company information. It's interesting to note that this particular set is from Bormioli Rocco S.A. with the words "made in Spain". The glass portion of the espresso cup measures 2 3/4" in diameter at the top, tapers down to 1 3/4" at the base, is 2 1/2" high, and weighs 122 grams. The stylish metal handle clips on at the base and adds another 17 grams and 1" to the width of the cup. (Note to self: you don't have to always remove the metal handle clips for washing, be careful to not pinch your fingers when removing them.) The glass portion is a single-walled construction of tempered glass approximately 1/8" thick. This single-wall construction was a significant draw/plus in my search after reading multiple reviews of double-walled demitasse cups that shattered during cleaning or failed within a year; I have been handwashing these cups as I would any of my other demitasse cups - without tiptoeing around for fear of breakage. The glass + metal construction and tapered shape give the espresso cup a clean modern look while allowing most of your focus to be on the contents of the cup. It was a bit daunting at first to see how little of the glass was occupied by a shot of espresso, even though the height of this cup is only a 1/4" higher than my regular white porcelain espresso cup. Another difference is the thicker rounded rim of the cup that subtly adds the feel of the glass in your mouth and which I usually associate with more of a hearty mug of coffee. That's probably why these cups worked very well for Caffè Americano and Moka Pot coffee drinks which have more volume to them. All in all, I would recommend the Bormioli Rocco 3 1/2 oz Espresso Cup with Stainless Steel Handle as a nice treat or gift (to yourself?) that offers a fun and different way to serve and enjoy up to 3 1/2 oz of coffee goodness.

Great espresso cups
These espresso cups are fantastic. They look great and they hold exactly 2 shots of espresso, perfect size for sipping. The metal handles can be removed for easy cleaning. They are durable, we've had some of these for over 5 years. Coffee geeks, the clear glass lets you see your perfect shot's crema.

Feels like I'm at an Italian bar again
After living in Italy for five years, these little espresso cups take me right back to feeling like I'm in an Italian bar, swigging back a caffè normale. While I have several nice sets of espresso cups I've brought back from Italy and Austria, I wanted something for everyday use that I wouldn't worry about if they broke. My toddler also enjoys using these for his juice. These fit the bill as some of the most inexpensive espresso cups I could find around, plus the added bonus of that quintessential Italian coffee bar feeling. While some Italian coffee bars have really unique and beautiful little mugs (handmade pottery or such) these were one of the most common mugs you could find around, probably because they're cheap, durable, and hey, I'm pretty sure you could get them at IKEA! :) I have yet to have one break, despite being used by my husband and toddlers. :) My only recommendation would to be to rinse immediately after use with espresso, as the foam can be hard for a dishwasher to completely remove once it has dried.

Great Little Cups
Love these little cups. It’s the perfect size for my espresso. The only thing that is a drawback to me is the metal handle. While I like the handle, I can’t put it in the microwave. I always warm my little cup before making my espresso as It helps it stay warm longer. So now I warm water in a separate glass cup and put it in this little cup before making my espresso. Extra step but no big deal.

Downsize caffeine consumption in style
We are using the Bormioli Rocco Verdi espresso cups for regular coffee. My husband and I are drinking less coffee, and, since we started drinking it from the Bormioli cups, we are enjoying it even more. The unique design really caught my eye when I was searching for small cups. When I first served coffee in these cups, my husband's response was "Cool cups!" The design is practical as well as appealing because the stainless steel elements protect the glass. My husband has large hands yet the handle of the cup is comfortable for him to use.

Perfect for those that enjoy classic black espresso
Great glasses- use with our without the handles- small so they fit under most eapresso spouts- especially if going naked. Easy to watch the shot form from the black tar syrup to the bubbles of crema. Also super tough- unknowingly one slipped into my sink drain and backed it up while washing dishes so i hit the disposer button and heard god awful noises- killed the disposer and finally fished the glass out- no chips or cracks even after being beaten by metal disposer teeth pushed by a 3/4 hp notor. Get them- u will not be disappointed

Very nice little espresso glass cups
These glass espresso cups are actually a bit nicer than I was expecting. They have a nice heavy feel to them, but not overly so - just a good solid, well made feel. I was a little worried the wire handles might feel cheap, but that's not the case at all. The handles feel and look good and match the overall weight of the glass, etc. They are a hair large for single or even double shots of espresso, but not overly so. I think if you are having a bit of milk in your shot - or something along those lines - then these glasses will be just about right. They also have the added bonus of letting you see the crema and/or how everything mixes together, etc. For the price, I would say it's quite a bargain. Even if I had paid $20 for these, I still would have been pleased. My only concern was the absolute lack of packing to protect them. Luckily our delivery guy must have taken good care of the box, because they don't exactly bend over backwards at Amazon to protect these. When I opened the box and removed each one, I was holding my breath and expecting to see at least one with a chip or crack. However, due to the sturdy (perhaps even tempered?) glass these use, they survived the trip in one piece. Again, very good value for the money. I first saw these in use at a local coffee shop down in Oceanside and I'm happy to say they are as nice as I remembered them (if not maybe even a touch nicer! :-)

Good quality and elegant
These remind me my childhood. My mom had very similar design where the metal handle could be separated from the glass. Very retro 70's design. Handy if I want to use them in the microwave, I can simply remove the handle. Or I can use them as shot glasses without the handle. High quality glass and metal. I've had them for a few years and nothing broke and nothing has rusted.

buenas tazas para espresso
Muy bonitas y prácticas. Le quito una estrella porque la foto de la publicación aparecen 6 tazas, cuando en realidad el juego sólo trae 4.
