Underground Passages: Anarchist Resistance Culture, 1848-2011

Very easy to read and entertaining run through anarchy and culture. I am not an anarchist, but find this book a wonderful showcase of how anarchy has influenced and danced throughout culture in the last two centuries.

As soon as I picked up this book and began reading I realised this would be a stimulating, challenging and ultimately a brilliant read. I love the way the author explores different modes of creativity and it is a very welcome addition to the only going discourse into anarchist cultural aesthetics. Don't expect this book to be an easy read because it isn't but it is worth the effort and it will leave you wanting to find out more, questioning the established history and hopefully challenging yourself. If I could I would give it 10 stars but then being an anarchist I would :-)
