More about the wedding
I still like d the story and how the plans progressed. It is a nice series but this won ended fine except for one of the couples. I don't like hung endings and realized this was more a "soap opera" series. I am glad that I read these.

This is a real time story written by the career woman's perspective.
Outstanding and particular attractive to school teachers and kind people everywhere. The story is real. a big city lawyer kept seeing this child at a stop on her walk to her corporate work. She started making sandwiches to give him when she walked by as he attempted panhandling for $ for food. At some point their regular encounter became more personal. He wouldn't take money because his mom was an addict with quite a few children. Food was scarce. (They were living in an apartment with 1 bread winner-Their mother)The relationship between the unmarried career woman and the little boy who needed someone to inspire him.She willingly met his mother whose concerns were never the real truth of her addicted body. His siblings learned to deal, etc. . . Eventually, she invited him to her house and he saw life as he wished his could be. Usually there encounters were a meal away from home for both. Such an inspiring story.

Weddings and life changes at Cobbled Court
The third book in the Cobbled Court series revolves primarily around Lisa. She is shocked when a fancy night out leads to a proposal. While she initially turns down Garrett, she does give in and withdraws into herself. While Evelyn is worried about them being to young, she doesn't say anything about it after Lisa hears her initial dismay. Also out of character is Abigail's way over the top response to create the wedding of the century and her bullying ways. Also worrying Lisa is the opportunity to work at a museum in Chicago which she keeps secret. Evelyn is contending with a continued proposal of her own. The out of character behavior was grating through a good portion of the book, although the author was able to turn things around by the end where each character gets back to a more normal state with many changes in their lives.

Special Relationships
A Thread So Thin, the third book in the Cobbled Court series, by Marie Bostwick is delightful as the first two were. As a quilter, I love all the parts about the quilt shop, the special relationship of the friends in their Friday night quilting club, and the setting of the story in Connecticut. The author has an understanding of the American work ethic and of the values that have been a part of making this country who its people are. Liza, one of the characters of the book, has grown and changed from the first book to this one from a rebellious adolescent to a mature young woman because of her relationship with the other characters who live the American work ethic and good values so naturally. There are also other characters who have become solid citizens because of the caring people who have accepted them and given them a chance to overcome problems in their lives. I appreciate Marie Bostwick so much and am so grateful that I found her books. I now own every book that she has written.

Unsure but aware
The main character is so likeable you root for her from the beginning. They all are. Sweet story about the fear of making big life choices. Great subject and plenty of food for thought here.

Wonderful story
This was a great read for summer and especially for a quilter. It is obvious a good stand alone book because I read it,not realizing it was part of a series.

Twee
This book was a bit too 'twee' for me but I can see why so many reviewers would love it. I am a quilter so obviously loved those references and I would relish living in a village with a Cobbled Court, but for me the book felt as if it had been written by a marriage guidance counsellor which made it less than spontaneous and enjoyable

Another good read from Marie Bostwick
This novel has plenty of interesting characters and a story that holds the attention of the reader. There is plenty of quilting as well as friendship, support and a return of some characters from earl novels in the Cobbled Court series.
