We have had this chair for over 4 years and have used with our two kids. This is great. Really allows them to have their independence.

Almost perfect
This is great and our toddler (2.5yrs) loves to use his "bear potty". It's relatively easy for him to climb, although he still needs a little help getting on. The handles are very helpful. We opted to leave off the padded cushion so it is more similar to the plastic toilet seat and would be easier to clean. No complaints using it this way. I'll agree with some other reviews that it isn't incredibly sturdy, but it may be because of our toilet. Our toilet is very short so even on the shortest setting it's till about 1/2 inch too tall. The back of the bear seat rests on the back of our lid, but our lid has a dip so there is not 100% contact with the seat, making it a little wobbly. We are trying to figure out if we can add a ring or something in between to have better contact with the seat and make it a little more sturdy. The only other improvement is the instructions could have been a drop clearer in the suggested youtube video, pointing out which ends connect to the next piece, but we figured it out as they do end up all connecting in a seamless way. The fold is also pretty good considering the set up, just wished it stood more independently when folded but this is minor.

Could have come with clearer instructions, but all in all - 5 stars
This potty seat has my toddler excited to learn how to use it. I like that it offers her independence in that she can climb up and down by herself. As far as instillation goes, it did not come with instructions but rather a link to a YouTube tutorial video which, quite honestly, could have been better and more clear on the instructions but overall I was able to put it together in about 10 minutes. Once it's put together CORRECTLY (I made a mistake when putting it together so it was wobbly, but once I caught it and fixed the error, it was very sturdy) you sit it on the toilet seat (the same toilet seat you yourself would sit on to use the bathroom) and it doesn't go anywhere. Comes with the screws and a little tool that you can use to screw it in if you prefer that over using your hands. Also comes with velcro to keep the padding from moving from the potty seat and extra rubber pads so the ladder part doesn't slide on the tile floor. All in all, I give it 5 stars - I'm glad I went with this potty seat.

A great way to potty train!
As soon as I saw this seat I thought it was ideal, not having to deal with cleaning out a kids potty and getting my little one used to going directly into an adult toilet. This seat comes in pieces that need to be assembled, only one simplistic diagram on how to put it together but it’s pretty self explanatory and was easy to put together within a few minutes. The whole thing is made out of plastic, including the safety screws that are included to put it together, but it’s definitely as sturdy as it needs to be to support tiny people. It’s easy to wipe down after use and will even fold in half so it can be moved aside easily. I’m very happy with this purchase. As soon as my son saw the little bear face on the box he knew it was for him and was really excited about it and even helped me build it, which I thought was really cool to be able to get him more involved in the process of setting things up for him. This is a great product and a great easy way to potty train your kids. I recommend 100%

Not bad, but not as helpful as I anticipated
*edit: after posting my review and the reasons why this product wasn’t a fantastic fit for us specifically, the seller did reach out to offer a refund for the product. I did not take them up on the offer, as we did and will continue to attempt to use this product despite the ways it didn’t quite meet our desired needs. But I thought it was worth mentioning that the seller was willing to refund us due to the product not fully meeting our needs and expectations. And as mentioned in my original review, the challenges we faced may not be experienced in other children using this product. But potty training it quite the adventure and some kids are more comfortable with it than others. In our scenario, we have a cautious child that is also somewhat clumsy and would have benefited from more support. But with a different kid, I could see this product being just fine. And while I don’t feel right about accepting a refund, I did think it was admirable that the seller was willing to provide one upon learning we weren’t 100% satisfied. This is easy to put together and easy to wipe down. I purchased it to make the toilet more accessible for my 2.5 year old. I like that the seat has handles for him to hold onto, as that does make him feel more secure. It does come with a sort of plastic covered seat cushion, which we opted not to use because it just seemed like more to keep clean and a typical toilet seat isn’t cushioned anyhow so it seems unnecessary. My son also liked the bear design. Unfortunately, the ladder design wasn’t as helpful as I hoped in terms of making it easier for my toddler to get onto the toilet. You are able to adjust the length of the legs to make sure they sit flat on the floor, which is helpful, but it’s still somewhat flimsy when my toddler tries to climb up. Also, the ladder design makes it so that my toddler is really only comfortable climbing up facing forward (towards the toilet) and then he has this very awkward challenge of trying to turn his body around to sit once he is standing on the little rung. This is a shaky and tricky thing for him to accomplish as it’s hard for him to balance on the little rung. I feel like he would have benefited more from a stepping stool or like a stair set up where it was more sturdy and he had more space to turn around and sit. This may not be an issue for some kids. They may not be phased by the shakiness of the training toilet or have as much difficulty with the balancing required, but for my little guy, it’s not the best. I purchased this to make him feel confident in his ability to access the toilet independently and to make him feel secure when using the toilet and that is not our experienced outcome.

fantastic potty chair
We have been using this for a while now and ended up buying another one for the downstairs bathroom It's a great stool! My 22-month-old can climb it but he can't quite turn around on it smoothly yet- I'm sure he will manage when he gets older. The guard is very effective at keeping his stream from going everywhere so long as he isn't sitting too close to the front of the seat. It just sits on the commode seat and can be taken off and stowed easily (so easily, he can take it off too which is just a tad inconvenient). It's fairly easy to put together and my toddler has no issues using it- though he was a bit scared of it for the first month or so, so he just inspected it and used a potty chair until he was ready for it. I highly recommend it.

Awesome for potty training
Love this for my toddler. She was having accidents all over the house with the other potty we had. Now she goes to the toilet every time. She likes the step up to get onto it. Would recommend.

Missing parts, useless
By the time I needed to use this, I open the brand-new box and realised there were no screws and instruction manuals included in this package. It’s past the refund period, so now I am stuck with a useless box with plastic parts. I have left a question on this product, and after two days have received no response from the seller. Beware, terrible, quality assurance, no Support, just buy it from a local baby store instead.
