The retractable apparatus works fabulously! However, my iPhone 5c isn't working with it, unless it's in my battery case. Which frustrates, because this is now the second supposedly "certified," charger that won't work. I'm going to look into it more and I'll edit this if I find out it's the phone. It really does seem to be a quality product, and when charging the case, it's super fast. The retractor has a click feather that allows you to lock it with however much slack you want. Like a retractable tape measure would. Nice feature.AMENDED 2/19/15: I've now gotten a replacement for the non-working charger. It worked for about 3 days, and then stopped working too. My wife's has worked from day one and continues to work.

I like this little retractable charging cord for travel purposes. I suppose it's a matter of supply and demand, but I think the price is high. I bought one exactly like it 3 or 4 years ago but with the old traditional Apple plug, not the Lightning plug. It cost me the equivalent of $1.20 at the 100 Yen Store in Japan (like a Dollar Store). It still works and has been very servicable. That tells me these are cheap to make, and the manufacturer just hikes the price for sales in the U.S.

Although the picture shows two - beware you will receive only one.Therefore, there may be better deals on this or similar item. I have purchased this type previously from other vendors in Hong Kong for the iPhone 4s with the 30 pin and they have performed well. I have tried it both on my IPod Nano and IPhone 6 plus and it charges both just fine.

They continue to charge iPhone 5, but don't transfer data. They don't work at all on iPad. :(

They work ok. I have started to buy less and less 'off-brand' cables because they don't always work.

When I plugged it into my Iphone, the phone showed the notification that this cable is not certified. The cable stopped working after 4 months of using. If you want to buy a retractable Iphone cord, Cellet is a more reliable one.

This works very well so far, only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that I was expecting 2, should have read the description better, but in all reality there is no reason to show both sides of a product like this so it's odd that 2 are in the photo
