Our Caribbean: A Gathering of Lesbian and Gay Writing from the Antilles

An amazing book. As a Saint Lucian who has lived abroad for the past nine years, I've been desperately searching for literature that represents the voices of LGBTQ Caribbean people. While this book focused more on the larger islands as opposed to small islands, I found it a valuable resource as well as an important critique of Caribbean culture. I currently recommend this book to EVERY West Indian that I meet and I would qualify it as one of the most important works of Caribbean literature today.

Thomas Glave's work is really good - this is a wonderful collection of writing from all over the Caribbean and is an important addition to our culture.
